    Memory writing that triggered "You've been inactive for too long, logging out"

    *I don't want any flaming about anything about this post*

    I am trying out some memory writing, and it's going ok.

    When I experimented some today, I found a weird kind of even that triggers when you write to this:

    wow.WriteUInt(((uint)baseWoW + 0x8C5F7, MouseOverGUID);

    Only worked on mailboxes for me. guid: 4762
    I don't know if this is useful for anyone, but can be useful for some lan party tricks :P

    0x008C5F78 is the offset for LastHardwareAction, the lower this value is set, the longer it thinks the player has been away. If it's low enough it will think the player has been away long enough to give them the "inactive" message and log them off. Nothing wierd about it really.

    I haven't played with mailboxes nor interacting with nodes (still need to research that one if I'm not going to use LUA functions) but for MouseOverGUID, doesn't that require a GUID? As far as I know 4762 is not a valid GUID... API UnitGUID - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft
    Sigh. /facepalm

    He is not writing to MouseOverGUID but to LastHardwareAction as already pointed out by Jadd...seriously try to read the other posts before posting...

    Edit: I also assume that you can write any number to MouseOverGUID the only thing in question is the behaviour triggered by this. I would guess that it won't work if you write an invalid GUID to it. Any yes 4762 does not look like a valid GUID...
