Hey, i just want to make a little introduction so that i don't get judge to quickly. I am not a expert programmer or anything like that. I work as a as3 programmer with little c++ background.
I've decided to try to write a bot for wow 3.3. And i need some assistance.
Right now i am currently searching for the right memory addresses for my players x,y,z coords, i also supose that once i have found them that they are DMA so that they wont be at the same address each time. Even if they we're i'd still have to search for them again with each new patch.
So as of what i've read here and there, i know that there is an object manager that caches all the object of wow but how do i get to that manager ? correct me if am wrong but is looking in ollydbg for a function that looks at my players coords a good idea ? And even so isn't there like thousands of function that would right or read my players coords ?
Does the player base structure writes to my coords ? if it does i supose it also has a ptr to my target ?
What would be the best method to get my player's coords. Right now i've been scaning for floats that doesnt change when i stand still and change when i move and its taking forever.
Thank you for any response ; )
ps: sorry for the bad english
