    you dont need /tar -.-

    just look for units around you, get the name, coordinate, etc

    but yeah, maybe just getting coordinate of the boat & other thing is easier :P

    about those funky names, that could be reason i never found them, but afterall, i didnt even really try :E

    ps. that song is epic

    IIRC most (or all) boats/zeps/elevators have a name starting with Transport###### or something like that. Been a while since I actually messed with that stuff.

    Urm.... Maybe Im not looking in the correct place... Later on ill wait for the boat to show and search for objects, and post my results. I dont recall anything starting with Trasnport.

    @Zutto
    How do I Look for Units, as they dont show up in my ObjectManager, Maybe Im doing something wrong...

    I'm not sure you can read a transport's position the same way as a common object, at least I had to look for them by reading values from the transport's transform matrix located at objBase+0x1a8. Specifically, X = [objBase+0x1a8+(4*0xc)], Y = [objBase+0x1a8+(4*0xd)], Z = [objBase+0x1a8+(4*0xe)].
    (Of course, this might be a bug in my lazy object updating code reporting 0,0,0 as almost every transport's position, I'll look into it later.)

    I don't think the transports position is actually in the object itself, but it's calculated outside via timings controlled by a DBC. The server will spawn/despawn the object, but beyond that it's the client's job to figure out where it is beyond that.

    It may be different now.. i dunno. I will have to look into it at the packet-level anyways, pretty easy to tell if the server is updating the object at that level, or if the client is just running it's own predictions on location.

    The way to read position I gave is (almost) the one I'm currently using (the difference being that I'm using the whole transform matrix, not just the three members that represent the transport's position), so from a memory reading point of view you can quite easily get the transport's position.

    But I also believe the transport's position is calculated client side - at least they keep going in their usual path when I lag/lose sync, so the server can't be controlling their every movement (which also means getting their position by packet reading should be way harder).

    Doesn't a chat message get added to the chat box whenever a boat or zeppelin arrives at it's port? I'm sure theres a way to grab the text from the chat box...?

    Or is it just zeppelins that spam?

    Obviously may not be an optimal solution. But is a solution nonetheless.
