Question: LUA Functions Restricted to Hardware Events

I was just wondering if anyone had any information regarding making WOW think an LUA function was triggered by a hardware event. I don't need to get as deep in to it as calling restricted functions, I just want to call TradeAccept() - ideally from within an addon - which is restricted being called from a hardware event as of last year.
I seem to be having difficulty finding the best way to achieve this.
Could someone please shed some light on the topic for me and others?

It seems quite easy to think of a workaround, such as actually sending it from a hardware event at the proper time, but in my mind, that is only a kludge.
    Thanks, Cheers.

    1. Patch the protection check.
    2. Call it using LuaExecute from an injected dll.
    3. Register a custom callback and call it from your addon via that (because that is just a proxy to LuaExecute).

You think patching the protection check would be sufficient for calling functions from inside WOW as hardware events? In this program I won't be sending LUA, just enabling hardware events only.

What the hell are you rambling about?

    1. Go find a function that can only be triggered on a hardware event. Compare it to another totally unrelated function that can also only be triggered on a hardware event.
    2. Find the common calls.
