Since I'm learning VB atm, it might not be the right answer. But as far as I can see .. no you cannot create a speedhack program in VB.

I wouldn't even know the syntax.

There's no reason why VB shouldn't work. You just need to call some WinAPI Function (OpenProcess Read/WriteProcessMemory), which is pretty easy in VB6 & VB.NET. Don't know about offsets, you can find x,y,z at the playerobject but i think directly changing them is not something very good to do ^^

I would consider dropping VB and getting into some proper language, but of course it is doable. If you continue with VB you will kick yourself down the line when you get interested in more complex things and decide you need to learn a new language!
