If I run a mining bot in uldum on the computer sitting next to my main computer I am playing on, and I check on the bot every so often, and chat with guildies etc

I dont believe people share botting accounts but im not too sure, I dunno too much onthe subject other then shouldnt bot on your main account.

you won't get banned if you use decent bot and if you reply to whispers etc.. 99% of ppl banned for botting are banned because of reports from other players (exept massive banwaves caused by badly written bots), so you should be ok...

update: also, afaik most /good/ bots have sharing protection and will block the account if you access it from more IPs at the same time... so there is a possibility that your friend will lose his bot account if he share it with you

What..? How does this make sense you would be disconnected every 2 minutes from other people trying to use it and it'd be banned pretty damn fast from constant logins from different countries.
