Do you bot safe?

Some of you may have noticed that this was posted earlier on the Bots and Programs boards, wrongly. It was removed and hense it's time to repost it in the correct forums.

It is important to note, firstly, that by choosing to bot you are running the risk of getting caught. Once you get over this it comes down to you want to take measures to reduce this risk of getting caught or conversely maybe you like to extract as much out of the bot and have little care for the protection of your account.

I have been using Pirox and Gatherbuddy for just over a year now and have had no bans so far. I have, however, been using some methods to bot safe and minimise my risk of getting caught:
1) I don't bot for more than 8 hours at a time.
2) I respond to whispers if i'm at the computer.
3) I play the character sometimes to make it appear legitimate.

So how do you bot and do you bot safe? I thought i'd put together a short guilde here to help those new to botting or unsure of how to bot safe. Feel free to post in this thread and i'll update the do's and don't

- Don't grind the same area for repeated sessions, move it around
- Don't grind popular areas *cough storm peaks*
- Don't bot on a character which is on your main's account and raiding guild (yes I've seen this more than once)
- Don't steal nodes/mob kills or be a dick in general (great way to get a "revenge report")
