[PQR] Mavmins' Elemental Shaman

For some reason the profile only casts lightning shield and applies Flametongue Weapon for me. After that it never attacks or does anything else. Tried it on the dummies and on real mobs. Reinstalled PQR, PQI and everything else I can think of.


Edit: Nevermind I re-updated PQR again and everything seems to be working fine now. And I must say the profile is kicking ass. Thanks so much and +rep

Tried out the profile briefly this morning, from what i have seen so far it is another solid profile.

I'm gonna test the new version in the raid tonight, but its finished then. I gave people to Sunday to suggest new features, I've fixed the issues highlighted so thats it. New version should be out in about 4 hours

main change is this which lets you say if you want to interrupt lightning bolt to cast lava burst if lava surge procs, and if you do, the % it will cancel lightning bolt before. So in that picture, if you are less than 20% of the way through lightning bolt cast then it will cancel it and use lava burst. if you set it to 1 it should stop any bad lightning bolt queues, but I use 20%

Unresolved issues
Under Heroism and Ascendance the profile will cast some lightning bolts. This is because the haste level is too high and you are finishing casting Lava Burst before the GCD so its not actually off cooldown when the profile checks PQR_SpellAvailable. Now to fix this I can force ONLY Lava Burst under Ascendance unless you're moving but you guys can decide.

If you are casting a Lava Burst and Lava Surge procs mid cast, you lose the proc anyway, so I can make the profile cancel the cast and use the proc to save you half a cast time of lava Burst. Any interest in me doing this ?

I've been using this profile for the last 2 weeks without any issue, but as of today it does nothing but give me errors, not sure what the problem is.

im using it right now with no errors, what exactly isnt working ? do you have the latest version of PQI installed ?

which options have you enabled, can you paste the error ? The screenshots in page 1 of this thread show the options im using

you might need to reinstall PQI, that fixes errors for some people, unless anyone else reports a problem I cant really check what it is


EDIT - Just did a full clear of TOT, no hangs, no errors

and i did notice the casting lightning bolt during ascendance. might as well force lvburst during ascendance only because its a dps loss otherwise isnt it?other then that holy hell pretty damn good profile.

yeah i noticed that, will be fixed shortly, i was using it to debug the profile but forgot to remove it

If you want to remove it manually before next update its really easy, just open up PQR and go

Ability Editor -> SHAMAN -> Mavmins Elemental

then click on the -- Cancelled Queued Spell -- ability

and in there it says print("Cancelled cast for Lava Surge Proc") just stick -- in front of it (2 dashes) and the line should go green, hit save (bottom left) and its done

Yes, great fix. Casting anything but LvB during Ascendance is a big DPS loss

Wow. Now your profile really starting to look like something great. I've noticed a pretty severe dps improvement now Only thing I can think of, on the top of my head, is to make CD usages with a hold-in-function. So that when you release the button, your CD's are off again. HATE to start a thrash pull and pop all my CD's -.- I Forget to turn them off waaay to often :P
