[Guide] ISXWowChatter2 - Send Whispers to AIM/Cell phone

First of all, this is different than the guide by jjaa. I recommend his guide for setting up ISXWowChatter2 and using some of its other features I have not covered here. You can find his at http://www.mmowned.com/forums/bots-p...e-chatbot.html

Also, I did not write this program, I take no credit for it whatsoever. It was written by undrgrnd59 from the ISXWow forums. The original release thread is here: www.isxwow.net • View topic - ISXWoWChatter v2.0
However, he has since released the source (www.isxwow.net • View topic - Peace)
and if anyone has any ideas/suggestions, I'd be willing to try to add them (no promises though, .Net is not my area =P)

    Anyway here we go:

Forwarding Whispers to an AIM account:

    1. go to Instant Messenger - AIM - Instant Message Your Online Buddies for Free - AIM and make an account, make the name and password simple to remember.
    2. now you need to enter in your account info into the settings file
    3. go to the isxwowchatter directory
    4. open up the settings file
    5. find the IM section
    6. change the values of "Botusername" and "BotPassword" to the username and password for the account you just made
    7. find the "UserUsername" setting and change it to the username you want the program to send the whispers to
    8. make sure the "UseIMAlert" is set to True and the "IMClient" setting is correct ("AOL Instant Messenger") for this example

Your settings should look like this: (except fill in the circled areas with your info)

Sending Whispers as Text Messages on your cell phone:

    Code:
NOTE: you need to make two accounts for this, one for the program to use to send the messages. go to www.aim.com to make the accounts. make sure you remember the login/passwords.
    Code:
NOTE: The AIM account will only forward to your phone if it is SIGNED OFF. make sure you leave it signed off when you want messages sent to your phone =]
    1. go to IM Forwarding - AOL Mobile
    2. sign in with the screen name you will use for forwarding and password at the right
    3. enter your cell phone number to send the texts to
    4. a confirmation message will now be sent to your phone, read it and enter the code in the appropriate spot on the website and click confirm
    5. you should now be on the settings page, click "edit" under the "Action" coloumn in the "IM Forwarding" row
    6. change IM forwarding to ON
    7. OPTIONAL - you can change the optional settings to ensure no one other than the program sends texts to you, however if you use a screen name only for this purpose it shouldnt be needed and you can set it to "everyone"
    8. click save
    9. make sure your isxwowchatter settings file is correct. "Botusername" and "BotPassword" to the username and password for the account you just made for programing. The "UserUsername" needs to be the account you set up forwarding for.
    10. also make sure the "UseIMAlert" is set to True and the "IMClient" setting is correct ("AOL Instant Messenger") for this example

your settings file for isxwowconfig should look like this: (except fill in the circled areas with the correct info for you)

    Starting ISXWowChatter2:
This part is easy. Open your innerspace console and type "dot ISXWowChatter2" careful, I think it's case sensitive. Now the program should pop up. Press "Load" to load you settings and then "Start". The "Ready" status should now turn green, meaning its running!

If everything went well, your whispers should now be sent to your screen name or cell phone (depending on which one you set it up for). To reply to them, just use: NAME: MESSAGE. Replace name with who you want to whisper, and message with the message of course. The period is not needed.

Or of course...copied from the release thread at www.isxwow.net • View topic - ISXWoWChatter v2.0

"TO SEND WHISPERS : (Player Name seperated by a ':' with the response after..)
Message something such as "playername: u suck!" or "jimmy: NO IM NOT BOTTING! GAH!"."
Other Commands: (copied from release thread)
!CHAR - Gives information about your character (level,position..)
!DEAD - Tells you if your dead.
    !HEARTH - Hearths you.
!COMBAT - Tells you if you or your pet are currently targeted by a mob (you have to be in combat then...)
!FORCEQUIT - Uses the Innerspace 'exit' command.
All you need to do to use these commands is send them to the screen name the program is using. It will work for both cell phone and AIM.

Also, what if you don't always want it to text your phone? Maybe only when you aren't online? Well two ways to fix that. One, sign on to the screen name you set up for forwarding, and now all messages will go to the screen name instead of your phone. Also, you can edit the Settings file. Change "UserUserName" to whatever AIM screen name you want to have everything sent to. Save the settings file, reload the settings in ISXWowChatter2, and you're set.

Quick disclaimer, I have used this, but I haven't thoroughly tested it. There may be some bugs, so I'd recommend testing it out for yourself first and making sure it is running fine. Hopefully this guide was helpful, good luck and happy botting.
