Quick Macros: Quick and dirty anti-afk and BG joiner

Firstly I'll add screenshots in a little bit but this is a pretty simple way to get some rep.

First you have to download quickmacros from Quick Macros - universal macro program. Automation, keyboard, mouse, toolbars, programming .... It's just an easy way to make macros.

Step 1: Create a new macro, file -> create new macro

Step 2: Open up wow and log in and get on your character.

Step 3: Create as macro that does the following.

/script AcceptBattlefieldPort(1,1) (the equivalent of hitting Join Battle)
/script RepopMe() (if you die in the BG, hits release spirit for you)
    /script JoinBattlefield(0)
Cast a spell or do an ability (keeps you from being afk)

Step 4: finish the macro and put it on your toolbar and alt-tab from wow

Step 5: click on your new macro and click the red dot to start recording

Step 6: go back to wow, click on your macro, alt-tab back out

Step 7: click Insert on the recording window. This will add the recording to the blank macro you made.

Step 8: Go into the macro window and remove the first command (you switching back to wow), and the last two commands (alt tabbing out, and clicking the insert button), and voila you have a macro which keeps you afk once.

Step 9: Add the number 60 at the end of the macro, any numbers on new lines tells the macro to wait that many seconds. Also add rep 100000 at the top and tab indent everything under it to repeat it.

Step 10: now join your BG of choice and hit the macro, (USE the Pause/Break key on your keyboard to stop the macro)

Step 11: Once the bg finishes, somehow mark w/ a sticky note or a tape or even a water drop where the Leave battleground button is and then click it.

Step 12: Now DONT MOVE, it is important that you don't move and stay in the spot that you are in when you left the BG. Now use the home and end buttons to scroll thru camera modes till you get to one that you want to use.

Step 13: alt tab out and click your macro (or create a new one) and hit the record button again.

Step 14: This is the important step.

    Alt tab into the game.
    right click the battle master.
    click your macro.
click the spot on the screen where the leave battleground button is.
alt tab out of the game
click replace (or insert if you made a new macro.

Step 15: do the same thing you did before and remove the first command and the last two commands and add the rep 100000 at the top and tab indent everything.

Step 16: Add 2's between all the line to have the program wait 2 seconds between commands.

Step 17: Go back into the game and test this macro (i right clicked the macro and hit properties to bind it to a key). Test to make sure that it clicks everything, and that there is enough time between the right clicking of the battlemaster and the clicking of your macro.

I've used this for awhile and my friends have used it as well, and nobody has gotten banned or warned. You can do this for any BG, but you have to repeat the steps.

    Notes:
You will sometimes get afk-reported, its inevitable, but it doesnt happen often in AV, and even less in AB or WSG.

I'm guessing you can get some chat mods that block whispers to enhance this.

You have to keep wow in the foreground for this to work, no question about it. This is good if you leave the house or are sleeping and dont need the computer.

The best thing to do is to check on your bot periodically and if you get reported, stop the macro, go do damage to someone and then restart the macro, most of the time people wont report you twice.

Seems like alot of work, why dont you just sit in AV and alt-tab out? and just click back in and jump every once and a while?

Re: Quick Macros: Quick and dirty anti-afk and BG joiner

    Sorry about wall of text.

I dont use it to press spacebar b/c i have consolidated an anti-afk mesure and bg joining into one macro to avoid confusion or screwups.

As for the other question, since i use it on repeat, i can walk away from the computer and it still puts me in bg's

What do you mean with Step 11?

And when i push the macro for Step 10, it just sits there, am i supposed to do something else?

I came up with a list of actions so we don't get that anoying afk debuff (ONLY in AV).

    We need 2 basic Macros:
    #1: (from this thread)
/script AcceptBattlefieldPort(1,1) (the equivalent of hitting Join Battle)
/script RepopMe() (if you die in the BG, hits release spirit for you)
    /script JoinBattlefield(0)
    /cast Consecration(Rank 1) (I'm a paladin .. I'll explain later why this specifically)

The idea here is that you make people think you are not afk, and in case they report you as afker, you can get the debuff off, so you can still earn honor and marks.

So, heres my idea (developed yesterday and I had nice results)

    1. after leaving a BG (AV), record the right click action of the NPC that gives you the queue for the BG.
    2. wait 10 secs (put it in code, write the number "10").
    3. record the action for: control+tab (select nearest friendly target) then right click on players frame, and select follow.
    4. wait 20 secs (put it in code, write the number "20").
    5. record the action for: click the #1 macro button.
    6. record the action for: click the AV trinket button (the one that ports you to FA gy - I'm Ally ).
    7. record the action for: click the "Leave Battleground" button.
    8. wait 10 secs (put it in code, write the number "10").

and there you go. Add rep 10000 at the beginning of all this code and you are done.
Now I will explain what this does.

    1. Pop up the AV window to join a queue.
    2. to give time between: entering the queue and waiting for the pop up window to enter BG. Or, accept entering BG and letting window to load up.
    3. Follow the nearest friendly target so you can get outta cave and use the trinket.
    4. Follow the player for at least 20 secs (most of time, you will select a player that will get you outta cave and will leave you behind when he mounts and ride away).
    5. Enter the queue / Accept the queue / Anti afk spell. The spell or ability MUST me AoE, so, if you get the afk debuff, you can do some damage and get rid of that debuff. Release spirit, in case you are dead.
    6. Go to FA gy in case you are outside the cave, so you don't get listed as afker so easy as if you were staying inside the cave.
    7. When the BG finishes, just leave it.
    8. Time for window to lad after leaving BG.

I'm at work now, so i don't have the code here, but what i remember should be something like this:

    w1= window world of warcraft
    rep 10000

// press right click on AV queuing guy.
    right+ 400 600
    right-

    // wait 10 secs
    10

// select nearest player and follow him
    'CT
    right+ 400 10
    right-
    left 400 60

    // wait 20 secs
    20

// click on #1 macro button
    left 600 10

// click on trinket action button
    left 600 120

// click on "Leave Battleground" button
    left 400 600

    // wait 10 secs
    10

    It was something like that.....

I hope it helps you out.... of course, you can put some conditionals so, you only cast the spell each min or so

Can you give a full example of how the macro should look? Mine looks like this

    rep 100000
    2
    TTTT}
    2
    nt w1=act(win("World of Warcraft" "GxWindowClassD3d"))
    2
    ig+ 622 388 w1
    2
    ig- 512 384 w1
    2
    ef 17 749 w1
    2
    ef+ 525 551 w1
    2
    ef- 512 384 w1
For some reason it doesn't work. It keeps saying "Error in AFK Macro: unknown identifier."
