Anyway you can make this run from what I guess would be called the command line (as in run in conjunction with WoW on shortcut opening) and auto-attach itself to said process?

Either way great small program. Gotta love it.
Too much work for such a small feature. Although you could just move monit0r.exe to the WoW directory, and make a .bat file like this:
    Code:
    start monit0r.exe
    start Wow.exe
It's really simple but this will at least open up both WoW and monit0r at the same time.

Unless Jadd did it another way (which would be a bit odd since it's completely useless and he's claiming it to be 100% safe), this program calls Windows API functions to be able to read from the Wow process memory. Those functions alone do not require a link to be created between this application process and the Wow process.

The action of attaching usually refer to when an application start debugging another process. Now there will be a link between those two. Also, the program only reads from Wow memory and doesn't (shouldn't) write to it, making it 100% safe as the Warden doesn't watch for this kind of actions.

This is a simple app but yet very useful for those like me who like to listen to music while playing and sometimes don't hear the BG queue because they're browsing on MMOwned . Thanks for posting in Jadd .
You need a handle to a process to be able to read and write memory, this alone is a traceable 'link'.

Also, I wouldn't say it's "100% safe". Just because they're not doing something now, doesn't mean they never will. Heck, they sure as hell used to. Who's to say they won't change their mind again?

Look, I understand there's a difference between theory and practice, but it's still not a good idea to suggest that this is 'safe', because people take that the wrong way...

    EDIT:

Keep in mind that Blizzard aren't against modifying Warden to detect cheats. They snuck in a client patch which in turn hooked one of the functions called by Warden to query memory which I was hooking in LuaNinja, and used their hook to read NTDLL off disk an do a direct syscall to NtQueryVirtualMemory.

I'm not saying that's going to happen here, as this app is unlikely to piss them off (especially compared to a lua unlocker, which they seem to absolutely hate), but it's still best to keep away from the "this is unbannable" labels.

99.99% then. The 0.01% being they'd bother with something like this. And no, I didn't do the math so I'm not taking any responsibility for any bans. HAPPY?!

This is just fantastic. Too bad this one doesn't work for me for some reason. I'm running a v3.3.5a client.

Oh, fair enough. Thanks for the reply. Is there any option we can have a program like this for PServers as well?

Any chance you can update this for 4.2.2? It's not working properly ever since the patch came out.

You can download QueueStatus, which works fine for 4.2.2
