First, it takes a second to write an update that checks the warden module hash. Second, it's not because you don't post a thread here with the method clearly written inside of it that they can't easily get it. Just check what was modified when the hook/patch was applied, it takes a few seconds. I know they've been lazing with protecting the game, but it seems like they're now determined to make decent protection. I personally don't understand why they don't already scan the warden module hash for modification.

I only let him release this in hopes of blizzard changing their system. Im bored and I like a good game of cat and mouse. Also drakefish, while wardenmon does indeed place a hook inside the warden module there remains multiple methods of reading scans without even touching its code ;p

It's nobody's 'job' to spoonfeed the public with offsets. This tool is far from useless to people just entering the WoW reversing field who don't currently have their own scanners/monitors/emulators.

It's just as easy to block the self-scanning as it is to implement it. Also, there are methods you could use to detect such a scan preemptively (unless their implementation was relatively clever, which history shows it won't be), so that you're protected even in the event of such an update.

This never happened. We can assume it was removed due to the false publicity it was getting -- it never actually sent back that data, but people assumed it was -- but no one outside of Blizzard could say for sure what the reasons were. There was no lawsuit over it, however.

I didn't mean that it was impossible to protect yourself, my point was just that if he wants to release something like this, he should add this kind of protection (which the current hook doesn't provide).

I removed the link b/c Everdox came out with WardenNinja, it is much safer to use. Its an emu of warden, so you can write to any warden scanned address and not get banned. If warden scans its self it will auto crash.

Would anyone be interested in a simple Warden tutorial? I would show you how to see if an address is being scanned by warden. This would be every every basic.

DarkLinux you did a great job with this. DrakeFish is hating as usual... nothing special. And a warden tut would be a cool idea. Even thought DrakeFish will most likely thinks that it's useless as long as other people (then him) do their job and provide us with new hacks :P
    so i need a signature?
