    Function Hacker

    Hey everyone,

Today after some searching on the web i came towards this application. It seems intresting as it helps you locate some functions within a program a bit easier if you are not that advanced at the reversing part. This application is called Function Hacker and it is located here: Function Hacker: Deep function searching based on arguments and call count. .

Credits to PaperClip and Zelimir from World Of Gamehacking and home of CES for the application. I hope that this will help someone besides me ^^

"it helps you locate some functions within a program"
    which exactly ain't much said,

imo the OP should give us an idea what kind of information will this program be getting for us,
otherwise it looks like he is just linking to a random program.

I can't imagine using this with WoW.. it would probably take a whole day to filter through the functions, rather than looking at the idb TOM_RUS always posts in about 2 minutes, lol.

If you want more info on what the program does refer to the author's page that i linked...it aint that hard really <.<

So, when u load a program and attack FH on it the tool will generate a list of functions that it will locate within a program. Then when a function fires within your program the FH will record it(given that you have pressed the Record button). After the functions that have been called are recorded you can filter them and you can also see them in the time line at the bottom of the program. Then you may be able to locate the function that you need...

But jadd yeah it might not be such a help for wow...But like i said i am a newbie and i am having some hard time locating the offset myself and this program is a help while i am learning how to reverse things and i have a long way ahead.

look i get you dont provide info due to your lack of knowledge due to the copy/pasted of this thread. Also its not hard to give usefull info bout the program instead of a page of useless all around info. So dont get mad at people cuz you failed to provide the info people wanted to no.

I am not mad...I am just used to check the links that someone will provide...Like i said i don't have the knowledge and i am not embarassed to say that. I also don't think that this is a bad thing. I just posted a tool and a link to the authos page, it has even a video of a "How to" about the program. If you think that the author's page has garbage info all around then why do you think that another person with the lack of knowledge would provide you with more quality info than the author would do?

And btw i haven't copy-pasted nothing so far

There are tons of program on the internet which come with an explanation page full of information.
The useful info we are looking for when viewing the thread here is why the program should be useful
for me - and how it can be used.
