Well I've never used it actually, but I'm really curious if the 72hours actually mean perma ban or only 72h of account suspension to "learn your lesson". If you did it for the first time, for example.

player report =/= banwave

A banwave would mean a warden detect and would result in a massive perma-ban wave of pretty much all users. As mentioned before, what we see here are just stocked up player reports. The current bans are being given for multiple reasons, going from automation to messing up the economy. If it were an actual banwave you'd just see permabans for "3d party software". The only guys getting a permaban now is those that had an already flagged account and got another player report...

Don't confuse a sudden use of player reports by blizz by a banwave, big difference

It's only on PTR atm... and ss far as i can see the last hotfix for US servers was back on 7th of Jan.

Looking at the post there is not really that many bans out of the 10000s of ppl using the bot, you have to remember there is a small amount of ppl who are foolish with their botting posting pics with toon names, talking about botting in game chat etc... some of these ppl will and do get busted, i'll start to worry after i see 1000 post, that's a banwave. For all we know these ppl are just trying to scare you off your bot to get a few more days of farming without the competition!!

Been botting for about 14 hours now, no ban. Looks like there was either no banwave in the first place, or I just missed it. Either way there's no banwave happening right now.

On topic, not it's not a banwave, Blizzard flagged everyone who was reported in December and pressed BAN button in January
