it just seems pointless. why do something that shows ppl that you are afk quicker. alot of ppl dont notice afkers in the cave unless they are losing. ppl notice someone following them. then they start asking questions.

I don't see whats wrong... Everyone reports, and if you actually read the beginning...
Warning. Your experience may differ due to your battlegroup Please do not complain because you are being reported AFK.
    Then you would understand.

My macro's will most likely work better as said. If you are still long enough to literally go afk then it might also kick you out with deserter.

Let it run to the north at end of path and then use the trinket to get back to the south base. Rinse and repeat. Win
Cuz not everyone has fireballs jk jk. Not everyone wants to do AV all the time. This bot is made for multi-purpose use. Following someone is not fail. I do it sometimes when I play for real because i'm too lazy to actually run to where we need to go

I'm beginning to think zippy's got the right idea. It's hard to make this thing do exactly what I want, or run where I want it to.
However, I have made vast improvements.

It can run through any battleground, following people pretty well. It changes targets to follow new people every couple seconds, so it just looks like I'm making my own path. It casts multiple spells at attackers and has several checks a second for combat or nocombat.

Two drawbacks - when following, if people are out of range I sorta stand there and wait for someone else to come by. Also, if I'm fighting and someone gets behind me (rogue, etc.) I make no effort to face them and just get plowed. I guess making a waypoint script with autoit would be best. Even if you're running to your death, you're still running around.

If there are enough people who want to stick with this method, I'll give the macros and script out. It seems like a lot of work to copy all of that stuff out again and make a huge long post if nobody's interested.
How do you detect if in combat or not??? I would love to know how to do that. Unless you have a real bot that fights people, it's going to stand still when not following someone, unless there was a check to see if the follow was successful, and if not, it would run on a set path. (back to a graveyard would be the best choice)

When i'm playing if I see anyone in cave I report them automatically. Yes i'm a hyporite but it doesnt bother me. People do it to me, so i do it back. At any bg if I see people standing in the starting zone I report them. If i see people running around I don't think they are afk. The one person you are following may report you, but if he's close enough to other people it will switch the person you are following so you wont be following him forever.

My battlegroup is so crap so theres like 1 game up on IoC so will take ages to join that game.

    *edit*
Nvm, just write /autobg queue 2
The problem with having it queue for 2, is that the button to join is always being spammed, so you may enter one but once the second one pops, it will autojoin it and the first one will be useless. No mark or anything. So i'm not sure if thats your best bet. Either way though you would still get a mark from one of the 2 you have the least in. And maybe extra honor from not sitting waiting for the main one to pop.

I really don't care who reports me in all this, as long as i'm getting in combat to remove inactive debuff it doesnt matter. Simple as that. Plus, even if miraculously blizz does find out your doing this, you can only get a short ban and let that be a wakeup call to not do it anymore. But until then I'll do this whenever I feel like it

I'm out of the country, My reason for taking forever to post a response

Just an idea, though it seems like it would need some heavy scripting / pixel reading to implement.
I don't think it would be possible without injecting. Although pixel reading could probably work. Too bad I don't know how to do that

    Func Terminate()
    Exit 0
    EndFunc
    PRIMER:
    Code:
    /autobg max 1
    /autobg marks
Primer should be pressed upon starting the game, only one time.

    ONE:
    Code:
    /script AcceptBattlefieldPort(1,1)
    /stopmacro [dead] this AND
    /stopmacro [combat]
/stopmacro [mounted] this are useless. It cannot mount when dead anyways so no need to check, also the [nomounted] checks to see if you are mounted so there's no need to stop because it won't cast if you're mounted anyways. If you took the [nomounted] paremeter out it would be necessary. But it's still there. and I think it looks nicer that way anyways ;)
/cast [nomounted] your mount name here
    TWO:
    Code:
/stopmacro [dead] this line is necessary.
/targetfriendplayer [nodead] and this nodead part. Thanks for fix
    /follow
    THREE:
    Code:
/stopmacro [dead] it can't do this anyways if dead so this line is also redundant.
/targetenemy [noharm][dead] noharm?? doesnt that mean it will never target anyone, because any enemy you target will be able to be harmed? Should that be the [harm] one?
/console targetNearestDistance 36.000000 This command was removed in 3.0. So it's useless here
    /cast [harm,nodead] Arcane Barrage
NearestDistance should be the range of your instant cast ranged attack (spell, shot, whatever)

Let me know what you think! Rep if you want, or feel free to clean up my *.au3!
Once again, I'm no real coder, I just kind of messed with it until it did what I thought was acceptable.

    -Keiguil
Those are my comments on your stuff keiguil. I don't know everything about macro's but I think all of what i said was correct. I know most of it is. I also know my script fix is definatly correct. Just trying to help out a fellow member. Working togetherrr +Rep to you also. Some stuff I missed you got. I never thought to use stopmacro

    Freehand's Update(With Explanations):

NEW CHANGES ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN RED

    AutoIT Script
    Code:
    HotKeySet("{F5}", "TogglePause")

    Global $Paused, $WinTitle ='World of Warcraft'
    TogglePause()

ControlSend($WinTitle, "", "", "4", 1) ;Runs macro to start AutoBg. Only needs too press it once, that's why it's before the while loop.
    Sleep(1000)
    While 1
    If WinExists($WinTitle) Then
    ControlSend($WinTitle, "", "", "1", 1)
    Sleep(7000)
    $repeat = 0
    While $repeat < 5
    ControlSend($WinTitle, "", "", "2", 1)
    Sleep(1000)
    $repeat = $repeat + 1
    WEnd
    ControlSend($WinTitle, "", "", "3", 1)
    Sleep(1000)
    Else
MsgBox(0, "WoW Client not found!", "Have you looked under the bed?" &@CRLF& "TRY HARDER", "", "")
    Exit
    EndIf
    WEnd

    Func TogglePause()
    $Paused = NOT $Paused
    While $Paused
    sleep(100)
ToolTip('Paused (Nagics BG Bot Thanks Freehand), F5 to resume.',0,0)
    WEnd
    ToolTip("")
    EndFunc

    Func Terminate()
    Exit 0
    EndFunc
You will now use 4 macro's. Just to clean up what it looks like in game. Throw in the macro with autobg commands into any of the others and it will work fine. Just spams your chat which can get annoying

    Bar Slot 1 : Macro 1
    Code:
    /script AcceptBattlefieldPort(1,1)
    /cast [nomounted] MountNameHere
    /targetfriendplayer [nodead]
    /follow
[nodead] was added to the /targetfriendplayer part to make sure you are targeting an alive player to follow, not a dead one who will not be moving.

    Bar Slot 2 : Macro 2
    Code:
    /targetenemyplayer
    Bar Slot 3 : Macro 3
    Code:
    /cast [harm] DamagingSpellHere
Make sure to replace damaging spell with an instant cast that you have to harm the enemy. [harm] was added to make sure you are casting it on an alive and hostile enemy.

    Bar Slot 4 : Macro 4
    Code:
    /autobg max 1
    /autobg marks
Was separated from the other macros. Only pressed once at the start of running the bot.

/stopmacro does not work like it's supposed to, hence why i removed it. I watched in game and it wasn't working like intended. I but a command into chat and it still posted it after the stopmacro part

Thanks freehand, I am changing the autobg macro though so it is somewhat faster at queuing.
    Code:
    /autobg max 2
    /autobg marks
    And the targeting macros..

    Code:
    /script AcceptBattlefieldPort(1,1)
    /script AcceptBattlefieldPort(2,1)
    /cast [nomounted] MountNameHere
    /targetfriendplayer [nodead]
    /follow

Oh thanks for the rep freehand - I did a lot of improvement, turned it into a
6-macro thing and it became way less noticeable.

Eventually, I settled on GP Bot, and let me say that the learning curve it steep,
but nowhere near as steep as learning how to use AutoIt properly (I never quite
    managed that).

I've combined much simpler autoit macros for backup but I'm relying on GPBot
for now, and it's doing a quite lovely job. If you haven't checked it out, I'm
sure Guizmows has posted something about it in this very forum.

Also, if you take a look at Guizmows' forum, I've uploaded two BG paths (so far)
to be used in conjunction with gpbot and other users have uploaded simply great
profiles for farming everything from honor, to leather, to herbs, to mining nodes.

Sorry I haven't been around for commenting lately on my developments, as I've
been working pretty diligently on my BG paths and node farming

    I'll try the new script.

The only problem I was having with the old one, is that it wasn't targeting enemies often enough and casting spells.

This is a great bot though, thank you. +Rep

    Hello!

Been using the bot for about a week now, 10hours /day

The biggest problem the bot is facing is the GY ressing, it will follow a person which is alive when ur dead - you will get the afk
    debuff.
    Any chance to fix this?

Yes i am having the same problem. I follow an alive person when i am in ghost form at a graveyard. Other than that its a good bot. Also with the upcoming changes with patch 3.3.3 is there any way you guys will be able to program into the script the "Random Battleground queue?" because that would get alot more honor per hour. Thanks. Look forward to an updated version of this.

    /autobg AV

Has nothing to do with the bot itself, write /autobg help for more commands!
