so, let me get this st8. He codes a bot to cheat a game and implements a *password log* into the *cheating game code* for ppl that cheat him by using the cracked version...to cheat the game??????

This is unacceptable measures, figure out a better way to protect ur software other then stealing your LOYAL...and un loyal customers login info. Do you see microsoft inserting code into there software to steal ppl bank account info to rob them the cost of the software,,if they happen to use a cracked version?? NO i dont think so. This is poor business ethics no matter how you look at it. This bot should be shut down.

If I read correctly, It only does it for people using the cracked versions, people who use those, are NOT Loyal. And about shutting it down.. No.

If a persons account is hacked, then a chinese farmer for example, decides to use the cracked client to bot a character to 80 to farm gold. The program gets the info, the account is perma-banned.... Do you think that's fair on the original owner?

Just figured I'd throw it in for arguements sake. And in the hope's of pirox coming to senses..

I can understand getting the account name (which you can get from a memory address but the password is a bit much)

At least he's willing to clear it up and not let it happen again. Now regardless, he shouldn't be adding this type of code. Yes it's stupid. BUT... given the reputation between the two... I'd trust priox. Not the other guy. It should have been private and not even brought out into public to make people freak out.

If a person goes as far as to crack the bot, don't you think they would remove the bit where it sends the username and password?
