Brief Review of HonorBuddy

Just some info for those of us who want to bot on a budget.

Just a heads up for all the honorbuddy users that are complaining about not having flying w/o lifetime. From what I understand, the lifetime users are "testing" it right now and tbh there really isn't that much to text. The only thing I've seen that actually utilizes the flying mount is the Archaeology Bot for Honorbuddy. You really aren't missing out on that much.

First off. You'll have to have lifetime to Fly or spend extra money on a Flying Plugin. This bot will not fly without it. They want to wrench as much of your money out of you as possible. Its the Ferrari of bots though so thats to be expected.

Second.

Don't bother buying this bot if you wish to use it unattended at this moment for anything other than grinding. Too many bugs. If you are going to buy it. I suggest lifetime as its the only subscription that wouldn't be a waste of money at the moment.

If I hadn't bought lifetime I'd be screaming holy hell right now.

It used to be awesome for HB1. But too much stuff was tried in too short of a period and it caused a ton of bugs, and things to be half done.

Yearly users will still have to pay another fee for flying via the Paid Plugins section / Key once its been setup. Which will obviously mean, Archaeology will also require a 'paid plugin key'.

Personally with the current state of the bot. I would hold of buying it for now, Wait a few weeks and see what happens over the next few releases.

-Grinding, works.
-Questing, Needs alot of work.
-PvP, BGbot is the latest form of HB pvp currently working for a few BGs more are being added.
-Flying, Beta. Lifetimers only.
-Auctions, Becoming paid plugin
-Archaeology, beta (Currently Lifetimers only)
-Grinding profiles, Fair few
-Questing profiles, Not many, most are buggy.
-Gathering, Currently ground mount only, will be a paid plugin for flying gathering (Lifertimers should be getting that for free as its basically GB plugin for Hb giving it better combat handling)
-Community, Falling apart.

summery. If you want an Afk bot, this currently won't be for you, there are more stable bots that haven't been in beta for the past 7months. If you have basic XML + C# then this bot could be for you if you have time to make your own custom profiles, Combat Classes (most are good thou) And plugins to fix problems the core devs currently haven't got round to fixing (IE latest one is running 10yards away from the corpse then running back to loot)

With a 30 day refund doesn't seem like too big of a risk to give it a shot once they get out of this rut.

I myself have been using GB since its public release, and HB since it was released.

Pro's
-HB grinds like a beast, and PVP works well IMHO I have geared up many toons in full pvp gear while afking the toon in mixed mode (grind until BG pops).
-GB for my money is the best gather bot I have used period ( and i have used them all)
-Bossland/Hawker/nesonox/ are top notch when they look at a thread they reply promptly.
-IMHO was well worth purchasing a lifetime subscription.
-I love the plugin system, it amazes me the things that are made. It is a really a community driven bot!

Cons
-Questing is still pretty much worthless on it
-someone the mods on the forums are morons who apparently there only human interactions and source of power is being a mod. They can be unhelpful and down right abusive at times and nothing is done about it.
-If you say something that is not agreed with or point out something they don't like you can be muted, and currently if you are muted or banned you can not log in and download updates, plugins or anything(this needs fixed ) If someone deserves a ban that's fine but they paid for the product and should be able to download without having to wait till ban is up.
-releases come rather slow, and sometimes you wait a while for stuff to be fixed. (This is maybe due to both GB, and HB so maybe they are stretched thin).
-If you don't post logs you will be ignored, but sometimes you post logs about a bug and your still ignored.


Overall think this is best bot on the market. There are some kinks that need worked out but go for it.

Huge fan of the Archeology Bot, it's gotten me all of the epics I wanted, Dwarf Staff, Troll sword Zin'rokh, all whilst I was sleeping, worth the price just for that to avoid the grinding hah.

I initially bought HB Lifetime for AB. And I'm not disappointed at all.

-Although questing is pretty..iffy. I don't mind. They revamp pretty much most of the quests in Cata. The quests used to be primary "Grind x, gather y, go to Z" with little to no interaction needed. But with Cata theres a little bit more new scripting needed.
-The CustomClasses are amazing. Compared to macros or dedicated keypressing.
-ArchaeologyBuddy is just worth the HB Lifetime. I've gotten 10 rares and gotten my Professor title shortly. And no one really reports you for AB because most players think an Archeology bot is near impossible. It's only obvious when you get stuck or fly back and forth for hours. Which, I heard they fixed it in the latest version.
-GatherBuddy2 is what I needed from HB.

I still haven't tried all the features but it's good so far.

The Cons are questing but thats understandable.

No bot is 100% afkable. You always have to monitor it. I pair my bot with PhoneMyPC for android to monitor it to make sure nothing is wrong.

Well worth it.

I have a question to the lifetime suscription.

(Gather)buddy Lifetime comes with 3 Sessions and also you can use this 3 Sessions to run Honorbuddy with them. So Gatherbuddy Lifetime is the Unique Tool to use Gatherbuddy & Honorbuddy as you wish.

Does this mean 3 Sessions limited by 1 IP or 3 Sessions with 3 different IPs? Thanks in advance
