[Release] gBot - free version (now without memorywriting)

AS a druid i find that once i start the bot it will go to Swift flight form.. fly up a few hundred feet then Dismount me so i fall to the ground... re mount and the process keeps repeating itself.

Any ideas ?

as far as i know druid forms do not work, you got to buy a regular flying mount


but you can possibly solve that issue with a macro or something

What is Memorywriting and why would I want to avoid it?

Under Memory
"loot via memorywrites"?
"Use click to move"

And the bots release itself is called "now without memorywriting". Is that something easy to be caught on? :0

When I use this, all it does is do loops over and over on the mount, and the first time i used it, it did the loops, then it started making my char keep going up until i was as high as I could go and it wouldn't let me come down. Any idea what the problem is?

i tryed to look to see if this was already answered but there is 37 pages of this thread, and with the search tool there was another 500 threads,
I was wondering if anyone had any problems with there virus scanner automatically deleting this program, I use Mcafee and i do not want to turn off my protection, so anyone have that problem and find away around it so that the bot can be trusted.
And 2 i read some about it not facing the target when being attacked, i did the click to move crap and still it doesn't always face the mob, i tryed that autoface bot someone else posted and it didn't work,

For the not facing isssue, make sure you set your "interact with target" key in your keybindings to "K".

McAfee will always delete the file unless you turn it off.

On another note, there's a couple things i'd really like to see in Gbot -
1. A "fly away from combat" option.
2. Acknowledgment of druid flight forms.
3. Better Non-CTM movement/control.

I've made sure I made all the key-bindings correct, I made my own profile in Sholozar Basin because I wanted it to be less robot-like, but for some reason the bot keeps stearing my character around in sircles sometimes, he goes stright past nodes and often bumps into tree's and the ground. First of all I was not close to the ground nor tree's and other objects when I made the profile, second I did not fly around in sircles when I made the profile. I do not use any of the memory options "Loot via memorywrites" nor "Use click to move", but I've enabled Click to move in my Interface so that shouldn't be a problem since the topic of this thread says "now without memorywriting".

Does anyone know why it's bugging around with me? Thanks.

Alright, got this bot setup and working.
- Read through all 39 pages and learned alot
- Changed process priority to "High"
- Setup proper keybinds
- Mount set to key 1
- Attacks set to keys 6,7,8

My question is in regards to the "Memory Options". It's my understanding that "Loot Via Memorywrites" is what allows it to work in background mode. It's also my understanding that I do not need "Use ctm" checked here if I also have it enabled in WoW.

What setup in regards to these options is the safest? Are the alternate setups much more likely to get me a ban when using them? Did Totus/MrFishit use memorywrites?

I do really like this bot but it annoys me how sometimes it'll be RIGHT NEXT to a node then claim it can't reach it.

Anyone thought of converting the WoWHead node DB for Gatherer into profiles for this? I was going to give it a go but I don't quite understand how it's co-ordinates are structured, rather than traditional X Y Z stuff it just has lists of numbers.

On that subject, are there any other profiles released for this anywhere?

This can be done using a combination of Addons and a few minutes of work. Download "Gathermate", "Gathermate_Data" and "Routes". These will let you draw a line on your map/minimap, then you can record an 'optimal' path for your bot. I know there was a thread on this, ill look it up and post a link...
