    DBFilesClient\CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc

When patch-A.MPQ is loaded it will replace the original WoW file "CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc" because it was loaded after WoW's MPQ's. The same thing applies to your personal MPQ's. The last file to be loaded, will be the one used by WoW. The "CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc" in patch-Z.MPQ is being used (because it was loaded after patch-A.MPQ ) and so the modifications to "CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc" in patch-A.MPQ are not being used.

    The solution?
Do the modifications to "CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc" in one file. For example just say in the patch-A.MPQ you modified Field 1, ID 2, and in patch-Z.MPQ you modified Field 1, ID 3. Do both the modifications in the same "CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc" file.

Of course if you didn't make the MPQ's it might be harder to do because you do not know what has been modified.

did I get this right? the link on the mainpage is for leopard 10.5.6, intel macs, right?

I placed a MPQ in my data folder and I'm using the "new" fix.

Every Time I start up the fix, it says success, but as soon as I get to the character screen, I just have a black screen, and as soon as I hit enter my wow closes oO no error reports.

ever experienced that? I'm on an Intel Mac, 10.5.7. WoW is patched to 3.1.3.

EDIT: used defective edits .. your patch works like a charm +2 rep

That error is the reason why i included the old version. Use that.

Thanks so much man been waiting for an MEF for mac for a while. If at possible you could put out the source for those just delving into the cocoa/objective-c world on mac it would be greatly appreciated. If not i understand, could be leached for credit, etc. But once again Thanks Alot!

I visited a friend of mine some weeks ago... He uses a MAC for work, and it crashed 2 times when I was there (he was just photoshopping). I laughed quite a bit
LOL nice but that is more likely a hardware issue than software. Great job making this ME, my best friend is going to be so happy (he just got a mac pro) lol. (i would get a mac myself but no steam support for OSX
