It no longer recognizes any of my incoming whispers
I thought this might have been caused by the changed color of tells, but when I restored the default color I still had the same problem.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I got this bot working, i got the color tolerance of either the red part of the bobber or blue part, then i set my autoloot off and put a paperweight on shift. And it autolooted the fish and worked like a charm.

I cant get it to work.. It just spams the "1" key and keeps doing it forever.. dunno about what to do witht he couloring either.. once it do get a fish on it dont hook it =(

Somehow this program managed to completely reconfigure my UI and I could never get it to work right after fiddling with it for a couple hours. Nice idea though.

I started using this a couple of days ago and now have it working like a dream after about an hour of tweaking. A couple of things to remember:

1. Make sure that you have the program pointing to the correct slot for your fishing icon. It may be easier just to move it to number one slot as this is the programs default. If you have it pointing to the incorrect slot you'll get messages like nothing to attack, your mana is full etc.

2. When telling it what colour to look for (F9) try and pick a colour that is distinct from anything else on the screen. Make sure your bags aren't open as they have a multitude of colours.

3. Avoid fishing in shadows or when the sun is going up or down. It makes it difficult to get good colour definition on your bobber. Just try casting from different angles that usually solves it. Have the sun at you back or side not front.

4. You MUST be in windowed mode to make it work. Make the window small enough so that you can see the fishobt icon on your desktop (easy to restart on bad colour choice etc).

5. DON'T use it all day everyday. Great way to get banned. You can choose for the program to shut down WoW on a whisper but with the increase in gold spam this could mean that you'll shutdown alot.

6. I tried both defining the fishing area and not defining it and didn't find much difference. When you do define don't select the sky (i've never seen it cast there lol). Choose the horizon as the upper limit and just above the message boxes as the lower. If it somehow casts outside of these it'll just recast again.

7. Make sure you are in the first person view. Scroll all the way in.

8. Rename the programto something other than FISHBOT.exe. May protect you a little.

9. You MUST have autoloot set to off. This is important. If you find that your fishing skill is going up but you are not looting this is why.

10. If the program is clicking on the bobber almost immediately change the splash tolerance (the number next to the define area button). This may take a bit of playing around depending on where you are, (water colour, etc). I have'nt had to change it from the default. People have ben having alot of problems in WC.

I know that this has been said throughout this thread but alot of peole are still asking the same questions and though I'd put something together from my own expereince. Please be aware that everyone's setup may be a litle different depending on screen size resolution etc. After using this for one night (Jeurgo Island Stranglethorn Vale) I had three stacks of stonescale eel, a 53 pound groper (not that that's much use), a couple of black pearls and a heap of fish for my pet and to put on the AH. Just experiment people. If it doesn't work first go just try a couple of the suggestions listed above. It's well worth it.

Also if you are having problem with it finding your bobber make a screenshot then get the color from the screenshot.
It sometimes doesnt pick the right color because the bobber highlight on mouseover

Is you pointer going onto the bobber when you cast (moving to the bobber and changin to the use icon (the gear))? If not try chosing the colour again. You could use Dlate's suggestion of taking a screen shot and then selecting the colour on that.

If it IS doing the above but isnot activiatin when you get a bite play aroud with the splash tolerance a little. There is no set figure for this it will change depending on where you are and what time of day etc. Experiment.

Provide a bit more info and we'll get it working.
