Re: Innerspace (Running OpenBot) vs Glider

Whoa, hold on there fella! Isn't ISXWarden not working correctly at the moment? I was reading about it in Lax's blog and he mentioned that due to some changes in Patch 2.3 to Warden, that ISXWarden isn't completely safe yet....just something to think about before buying another sub.

My Understanding was that the encrypted key exchange broke his Warden spoofing and he is on the mend.

Re: Innerspace (Running OpenBot) vs Glider

this is prob the most noobish question on this forum but ive searched and cant rly find what a routine is exacly, what i understand so far a routine is what attacks the character use, and how it acts(moves), what more?
and can you download "profiles" or do you allways have to make your own ones?

Used glider before then switched to openbot, way more options and smoother but way harder to set up. /cry

A routine is class-specific stuff, for example how you should buff, heal, attack, and sometimes movement while in combat.

Map files are not available, and without someone else's map file, their location set (profile) would be pretty much useless unless you had the same mapping as them.

I read Hamut's last post on Glider vs IS (the closed post) and Hamut states glider doesn't use injection. But I am sure Glider uses injection because it allows bot in background.

I guess I haven't much to add to the debate.

I tried Glider out a while ago. For what you get, it does the job. Requires intelligence in as far as running it where you're not likely to get disturbed and reported. That said, it's mega easy to set up, run and get results with. There's a tonne of paths that are out there that people share willingly, and it's very easy to make your own. Biggest let downs are the shopping side of it. It's very bad, and I don't think it's ever worked properly for me. It's very one dimensional I feel, with it's best trait is that it consistently levels your character.

Openbot on IS is another kettle of fish. More involved to set up (wont say difficult as Kurios's guide makes it very easy!) however the return you get on the time invested is worth it. The bot looks and moves human like, doing all the correct things, even as far as how involved the combat goes. The routines are superb (I used the rogue's one) and the way the bot actually progressively learns an area is fantastic.

The initial set up of the mapping is the thing that drives me up the wall. 30 - 45 mins are roughly needed (depending on how big you wanna run your map) to initially walk out the area you wanna roam, and also walk over all your vendors, repairers etc. Then, you wanna give it a test run, to see if you end up dead a lot! This coupled with the fact that I found the actual openbot slightly buggy in some regards, not saving maps that I'd previously done, and small things like that.

Add in to the mix, that people don't share their mapping data! This has it's good and bad points. I can see the reasons for, but I strongly feel that people *should* share them. Each path will differ, the way the bot works, and if it's on random, it's constantly updating it's map data by wandering not far from the inital path and expanding the area slowly.

As far as getting caught, Glider is much more easily detected than IS & Openbot. (With regards to player reporting). Considering it's how 95% of people are caught, I'd say this is a big thing to think about when selecting the bot that suits your needs.

I personally bot because I seriously don't have the time to sit there and play chars up. Glider suits my needs, because it's point and click. Openbot will give you a better result in the end, but requires a lot more time that some of us simply don't have. Sharing of mapping data could fix that problem though.

If you're new to botting, I'd suggest checking out IS & Openbot. It IS the superior bot, however don't disregard glider as it has a lot of things going for it. Kurios's guides make OB & IS very simple to set up, and the tutorial video (even though he goes on and on about nothing much before showing you how to map) does get the job done in teaching you how to set up a map properly. If you have the time, Innerspace, and Openbot are quite clearly, the best available at the moment.

No, I am quite certain we don't inject code
It wouldn't be a secret if we did.

Injection has it's pros and cons just as non-injection does. Injection allows for much more flexibility as to what can be done, but proves to be riskier. Non-injection is safer as far as process detection is concerned, but can be very limiting at times.

Was using glider and it was a pain in the neck.
Swapped to this and it was actually a hell of alot easier to set up then glider was!
Yes you must pay for innerspace. but it works out cheaper then an elite glider subscription
