[MAC] Glider to Pocket Gnome Profile Converter

Hirb I have NO idea what you have done there.

All you need to do is double click the app (the converter) and it should pop up a window asking you to select the profile you want to convert.

The app should then pop up a window asking you to give the profile a name. Type in a name and press OK.

You then should be presented with a progess bar (if it finds progress.app, If it doesn't refer to an earlier post telling you how to fix this)

When the app finishes you will be given a prompt saying it finished and that the new profile is on your desktop.

I have NO idea how you got that message as the app I wrote never even looks at Pocket Gnome nor would it ever have any reason to.

Since everyone else seem's to be able to use this fine since I fixed the localisation issues I'm gonna assume your making it more complicated than it needs to be.

I don;t understand I have installed a german localisation of OS X on the latest generation of Intel iMac I have here and it works fine.

This suggests it's something to do with your system. Try redownloading from the link on the first post (I uploaded a new version yesterday) that fixed some localisation issues.

I don;t understand why the application I wrote is asking for your version of pocket gnome. You could run this (and I have) on a machine without pocket gnome EVER being on the mac and it still works.

If your renaming the converter application to guitartoolsmac that will be why it's not working.

If you can add me to MSN so we can work through this because I am very surious as to how your having all these issues and no one else is

Yea the progress.app error is really strange.

I;ve done a fresh install of OS X on 2 machines now and not encountered this problem so I don't know why others are. Until I can recreate this problem people will have to use the work around on the previous page.

Just got Pocket Gnome and as you can't register for the forums the only way I have to get routes is to make them.

This looks like it could solve that problem though and save me HUGE amounts of time, but whenever I use it it gets about halfway to converting the profile and then I get an error saying: "Can't get item 3 of {"-9269.36","-3112.17"}.". I get this error for every route I try and so far havn't been able to find the issue or a solution.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks =)

also curious if you made any progress on adding the ghostroute or batch convert?

Hey,

Sorry been a little inactive for a while.

The problem is that the script looks for an X Y & Z coordinates.

The glider profiles you are using only have X & Y coordinates. The problem can be fixed by opening the glider profile in notepad and adding a 0 to the end of each waypoint group.

for example:

<Waypoint>6346.57 549.02</Waypoint>

would become
<Waypoint>6346.57 549.02 0</Waypoint>

A creative use of the find & replace tool can make this a 1 step process.

As for the Ghost route I can't see a possible soloution since glider & pocketgnome use 2 different methods. And the batch converter is in progress but far from finished
