Got MrFishIt from a friend a while ago, doubted it would work.
Now, now I can't live without it, all the curses I have uttered when my old version failed to function and my friend failed to give me an updated one, so finally I found my way here, I found a 3.0.8 supported version.
Hell I even managed to drag up old ironjaw in IF today, with MFI.

I'm speechless, f**king speechless.

First of all, thanks for your continous work on this fine bot.

But i got a problem with the new version (3.0.6)

It crashes no matter what when it tries to cast the pole. I tried every possible combination of options, but it still keeps crashing (injection, no injection, lure/ no lure etc)

It was working before like a charm.

I cant post you the debug log because the debug window keeps crashing too.

I'm using win xp sp2 x86 with the .net 3.5 framework.

when i come home, i'll try it with xp x64 or win7 x64 on 2 different pc's and post my results.

anyway, thanks again for your fine work so far

It seems like if you run it on vista it wont send the message back from the remote thread so it never resumes wows main thread, and therefor chrashes wow.
Im looking at the issue but i havent found any solution yet.. vista is just so damn stupid when it comes to injection and security, im positive if you run it on xp it would work i'll upload a version where you can toggle so it wont try to equip the pole.
If anyone know's how to disable all security in vista regarding injection you could send me a pm, ive tried disabling dep for all processes but it didnt help

EDIT: i found the problem it's the UAC that is messing with it, turning it off helped and now it runs on vista too, so if ure having problems running it on vista i suggest you either turn off UAC or if it's possible to turn it off for a specific process

EDIT2: i found this site with a program that let's just choose if the uac shoud ignore a process, i havent tried it but i guess it's worth a shot

Hi i have a problem with the Bot since release Mr Fish It v3.0.4!
The old Version prePatch Day runs without any Problems.

Everytime i start the bot he stop/crash after
'Fishing Pole GUID:0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
[26.01.2009 00:24:18] Initializing'

The Error from Windows is:
'Injection failed for some reason.'

In the Debug window:

i think it calls in english : 'You have to read or write protected memory. Most of the damage this case indicates the other memory'


I'm using Windows XP SP2 with the Net Framework 3.5 from this Thread (first Page downloadlink)
And WoW deDE (german)


My Bot Settings are :
Show Debug window checked, nothing else.
Window title : 'testwow'
Pole '1' Skill '2' Lure '3'
Time After Looting 100-200 ms
Time Prioir lure 100-200ms

With english Version (enGB) of Wow same Problem

MrFishIt crashes the first time right now, after a few hours of fishing in Howling Fjord.
Never happend before, since I've updated MFI for the 3.0.8 WoW Version.
Got the same error as Btif and the Guest-poster.

Here are my MFI Settings:
[x] Use Lure
Pole: 2 | Skill 3 | Lure 1
Timing
after Looting: 120-150ms
Prior Lure: 120-150ms

Lure: Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat
Pole: Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole
Skill: 450/450

Oh and I'm running WoW on Windows XP with enGB Languagepack.


Any help how to fix it, would be really nice cause I just adore your work!

I dont feel like adding all of the pole names for the different clients so when i get home im uploading a new version that has a textbox. So that you can type the name of the fishing pole you are using and it will use that one, and evrybody will get happy

I just wanted to say thanks Nesox for the hard work on this. I originally stopped by just to see what warden was up to these days as I was starting to work on my own fishing bot. I am returning to WoW after almost a year. But your bot is working quite well, so why reinvent the wheel!
