    SaveMyLat

SaveMyLat is a client/server program that allows you to shutdown programs on a remote computer. You might be asking yourself "What does this have to do with wow?" Well, if any of you happen to have multiple people and computers in your house, then you know that sometimes people get the urge to start watching youtube videos right when your in the middle of an instance. This can severely compromise your latency making it extremely difficult to perform simplistic tasks such as hold aggro or heal party members.

With SaveMyLat you can remotely send alt+{F4} to close the window that is currently active or you can remotely shutdown their computer.

Setup is easy, just run server.exe on their computer when they aren't looking. Then from your computer run client.exe and input their computers network name (examples: FAMILY; COMP1; UPSTAIRS) and click connect. Note do not add the standard "\\" before the computers name.

This program is extremely simplistic and was put together in about 15 minutes after dieing 3 times in a row due to high latency.

SaveMyLat is also open source so feel free to expand on it if you want.

Might add new features if needed or i get bored enough

    IM-Worm.Win32.Sohanad.cv

TypeWormType DescriptionA Worm is a malicious program that spreads itself without any user intervention. Worms are similar to viruses in that they self-replicate. Unlike viruses, however, worms spread without attaching to or infecting other programs and files. A Worm can spread across computer networks via security holes on vulnerable machines connected to the network. Worms can also spread through email by sending copies of itself to everyone in the user's address book. A Worm may consume a large amount of system resources and cause the machine to become noticeably sluggish and unreliable. Some Worms may be used to compromise infected machines and download additional malicious software.

Thats why i included the source, so when the false-positives did come up like i figured they would, people could compile it themselves. autoit comes up with false positives all the time.

    those look like false positives

but server.exe is usually a trojan hoster and the client.exe is the attacker.

So unless hes an idiot who released his own client.exe for his trojan, nothing to worry about.

The program is a trojan, ofc it's going to generate heuristics reports.
and the autoit false positives... really you can use any trojan or remote monitoring app to do this so if you're going to be paranoid there's no need to worry about this one program.

They arent positives. What he is telling you to do is install a trojan on your family computer just to shut down apps , which could potentially leave them open to attack

I just have to say.. What kind of internet do you have when youtube videos sap your bandwith?

On topic, though, this is nice. Nothing I would use (because it's made in autoit, and beyond that it's popping out positivies on the client, I don't feel like crypting more files than I already have ) but it's nice.

Alright, I did my research- let me sum this up for all of you.

THE WHOLE PROGRAM IS A TROJAN.

Literally. All of it. It works, because that's what a trojan does. I don't know why he'd give you a virus if you're already putting them on every computer in your house. See, the program you run to allow you to shutdown someone's computer is the trojan. The other part is what controls the trojan.

Bottom Line: Don't download it. Really, if it's that big of a deal, slap the idiot sibling/parent/relative in the face and shutdown the computer. Hope this helped.

couldn't you just get up and go close it yourself? that would eliminate most of this worrying about trojans and stuff...
