Just reporting that this is still causing errors with select patches. Its quite odd because it works just fine with 80% of the patches I run daily, but there are two model edits that worked fine under the 3.0.3 compile that now crash the game when using this 3.0.8 compile.
I've checked the situation with the patch designers in question, who both say they are able to run their patches just fine but they use Cypher's Wrathmodel.
I thought so as well, I can't find a common area of reproduction other than the patches themselves.
Multiple users of the patches in question are reporting the same issue, but the designer of the patch says it works fine for them.
Cypher's Wrathmodel, for me, crashes just the same as WoWMe does, when I use the affected patches.
The odd part of this is that I have 3 different patches that do very similar model edits, 2 from one designer, that work, 1 from one designer that crashes WoW when in use usually within a few minutes of logging in, using WoWMe, and crashes instantly when using Cypher's Wrathmodel.
And all three worked with the 3.0.3 WoWMe compile....so I'm somewhat stumped.
The error log generated by WoW is not throwing out any obvious clues either, other than what appears to be a generalized opengl32.dll fault.
Actually I believe I've identified the problem as being related to model edits based on models changed in patch-2.mpq.
So the problem isn't the tools, its the resources in use.
So now its down to working on updating the affected patches with new model edits.
due you are the best!
+rep if i could
If I add umodified .dbc files in a new .MPQ file, the game loads.
But when I change one value (feetfix) the game wont load.
Tnx +Rep to you

WoWModelEdit 2.2.8 (Patch 3.0.8a)

Usage:
I've decided to remove the old WoWMe. You no longer need a .cfg file, from now on it will be a standalone application.
As per usual, all edits must be in patch-X.MPQ(MPQ MUST BE IN CAPS) prefix.
1) Run WoW with WoWME.exe
2) Once you reach the login screen, hit F8 to restore changes & unload DLL
3) Login
4) Have fun

does not matter if we have a new version since all the Race to Race change edits are broken now. Any model edits you used to use pre today (1/27/09) are now broken since if you go to common.MPQ file to extract any race the files no longer .M2 they are now using .BLP
If anyone figures out anyway to do model edits now please share.
Don't know what you're talking about. All my old model edits work fine.
.M2 are model files. .BLP files are texture files. You can't make a model using a texture file.
Have you been model editing for long?
