Ok, i will explain again:
I Downloaded UDMale - BEFemale
from merfed [Race Edits] Every Race to Race Conversion! Thread


Its called Patch-3.MPQ by default, so i didn't rename it, i put it in the Data folder,

Downloaded the Lite edition of the MEF, and run it, wow starts no problem. i write inn my account info, press F8, and enter.. and my Undead is looking at me like an idiot. (no Change)

Same problem here.
I tried to use NE-BESize-helmfix.MPQ (renamed it to Patch-3.MPQ ofc).
Mef runs wow without problems, i don't even get the warning from the #5 model editing nerf, then i go to character selection screen and it's just not working. I remember the "lite" version with just WoWMe.exe didnt work before aswell and i had to use full version and write the names of .MPQ s in the configuration and then it would all work. Old version is for some reason removed by kynox... and now we only have "lite" version for download, dunno why, but it seems that it doesn't really work...

ps. it's not just race to race edits, nothing that requires mef works. Only things that work without mef anways still work (reskins...etc)

Rename it to "patch-8.MPQ" and make sure you have written "patch-8.MPQ" to the
wowme.cfg file

I am using the Lite edition,

when i tried the orgrinal, i got a message when i started the game, that i had a keylogger thingy, (from the MEF) so it wouldnt start

OMG just got it to work!

I used the old version of MEF that i found in my trash bin,

Wrote the correct name in the CFG, and i deleted Scan.dll from the wow folder, and started ut WOWME.exe and it works!

I don't know if anybody else is experiencing the porblem I currently have using the MEfix, because I can't find any statements about it.

So my modeledits were working perfectly last night until now. Everytime I log in and press F8 it still says "unable to validate game version..." and I double-checked everything, and no, there was no server maintanance. Since I did not change anything on my edits or on the files in my WoW folder, I am wondering where this is coming from.

Looking forward to getting helping replies!

EDIT: Nvm, fixed it by looking into the official forums, since I even had the problem without running the MEfix. Did an anti-virus update + scan and it killed it.

I am still having issues. I have tried with an old version of MEF and the new Lite, it just doesnt seem to work. I load in just fine (so its not getting caught by the scan anymore woot) but the edit change itself doesnt seem to be happening. trying for Human male to Undead male. Filename is Patch-3.MPQ

@_@ im getting an error saying are u putting the wowme into the wow.exe folder ive put it in my wow directory cant seem to figure out were this wow.exe folder is any help?

you just put it in the

c drive > Program files > World of warcraft

thats it, the folder that has all those .dll files, and the original WoW.exe file.




at least thats what worked for me, however i have to delete the scan.dll opon every login but thats ok,

now if i could just get it to work with freecap / lowerping id be set
