This is the same thing I asked about, where it seems that battle.net can log in without pressing F8. But why is this, and is it safe?

For some reason i doesnt work for me, but its probably because what i changed was in the DBFilesClient\CreatureModelData.dbc > , if thats the reason, is there another model edit fix program that will let me change the CreatureModelData ?

Hey, got the fix and tossed in my wow folder, but when i run it i just get the command prompt that says "Hit f8 at login etc.." but it never starts wow. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, I get "game version authentication failed" whenever I try. At login screen I do hit F8 once before adding password and hitting enter.

i know this is probably stupid when i downloaded this as an RAR file my comp tried to open it in itunes and it still is can any1 show my clueless ass where to go from here... lol

Hey all. I'm new to this, but now i wanted to try it out. I use WoWme and wow starts and i press F8 before i login, but now the problem starts. I have a "patch-x.MPQ" file in the Data map, and it should make male orcs look like Nelf females, but when i log in, it's just black (i can still see the buttons like "Enter World" and "Change Server", and i can see my other characters). I got no idea why this happens. Maybe it's the MPQ file(s) who is to old?

EDIT : It was the MPQ files that were bad, i tested another MPQ file and it works great! +Rep

Last edit : I read the readme.txt and checked the changelog were it stands : "* Scan.dll is disabled and will no longer execute scans." Does this mean i dont have to delete it before i start WoWme?
