If you really think Razer products are durable, I'm inclined to believe you don't actually own any. The Razer mice that people are paying $60-120 for have 0.5 mm thick plastic feet that operate both the left and right clickers that can break at any time with no warning. The headsets... oh god don't even get me started... I bought a Razer Charcharias gaming headset and it's a good thing I bought a warranty plan because I had to replace it 6 times during the year I owned it and then I finally decided to swap it for a Razer Kraken Pro and that one broke in 2 weeks, prompting me to finally get a cash refund which I used to buy a similarly designed $20 headset that is still working to this day, sounds just slightly below the Razers in audio quality, and for $60 less. The only thing that Razer can really call durable in their product lineup is their mousepad LOL.
I've owned quite a few of their products, and they are very durable. I share the PC, so basically it's in use 24/7, and their mice just keep working. Even played Diablo for a while with them, never had any issues. I'm assuming a laptop, worth as much as the Blade is, won't wear and tear after a couple of months. Issues with their drivers - sure. A bit of spill on the Razer Onza? Not a huge issue. But so far, none of their products seemed to massively malfunction.
I currently have a Razer Anansi and DeathAdder and I find both to be fairly durable. Only problem with how I feel about them, just as how you feel about them, is the probability that a particular model/product is free and clear of manufacturing issues. It's unfortunate how opinions are formed as it often occurs before you give a product or company a true test. I would liken it to internet or cable providers. People will gain this opinion of a particular ISP, whether that is good or bad, based on previous experience. Issue with that being the house they lived in for 10 years that had shit internet from X ISP, might change drastically and be amazing in the new house they bought that is a city away from their old house. However, they won't purchase that ISP's internet in their new house as the opinion of the ISP as a whole, is it has bad service through and through.
I have personally seen Razer products that I have purchased for myself or friends go bad. The mouse was one of the bigger fails, multiple DeathAdder's having that small foot the first person was talking about break and loose the ability to click on left or right side, through general use. However, personally I haven't had a problem with the DeathAdder I purchased 2-3 years ago. My friend *who had the DeathAdder fail 3 times* no longer uses Razer for his mouse, at least for now. That was completely based on his bad experience with the company in the mouse department. Though my mouse has never failed, he refuses to buy a Razer mouse now, because of bad experiences. Even if the product was made out of paper, if my personal product doesn't crap out and 99.9 percent of other peoples do, I more than likely as a consumer, would still side with the company as my product did not fail and my opinion would be based on that.
It's a hard thing to pin point because each individual experience *regardless of what their actual QA error rate is or product durability in general use is* would dictate what the actual customer satisfaction rate is. If you pay $100+ for a headset and it ceases functioning 6 different times, you try a different model headset and it craps out 2 different times, you finally switch to a different manufacture and much cheaper model and it performs wonderfully for a prolonged period of time.. your opinion of Razer in this example wouldn't be very good. It all boils down to your personal experience and I can't say if that is necessarily right or wrong.
I've had 3 Razer Naga mice and all three of them have failed after less than a year. One the cord appeared to short out at one of the very tight bends that they put in the cord when folding it up and the other the mouse buttons stopped working after about 2 months of use.
I've heard many people complain about Razer products being extremely overpriced for the relatively crap quality you get. They look nice and appear like they should be well designed and created, but the reality is very much a different story.

Who games on a laptop?
+ you don't need a power monster to play games.
the better slogan is By rich fake gamers, for rich ass hats.
Not buying from either Roccat or Logitek.
Roccat and Microsoft however is good stuff imo![]()
gkelter is 100% wrong. as the owner of a Razer Blackwidow KB (bought at launch, still works fine) a Naga2013 (to replace my older naga that was working 100% up to the day i replaced it AND STILL DOES) and a Kraken pro headset (again, 100% works) he either got a faulty product (RTM for a replacement) or is a LogiShat fanboi.
As for Razers new laptops... hell no am i buying one. Mostly because i dont like laptops, but also because i'd rather buy components and build my own machine. dont feel like a 20-30% markup for a logo, be it a fruit with a bite removed, a little alien or 3 snakes tied by the tail. self built > all.
it's a 14" Laptop.. a 1920x1080 Resolution would be overkill anyways.
1600x900 Is pretty decent and allows you to use the highest graphic settings and trust me, most games on 1600x900 at ultra look better than 1920x1080 at mid/high.
Oh and on a side note, real gamers own a desktop PC.
@netops- I agree, most of opinions are based on previous experience. I've never had an issue with any Razer product, sure the drivers are bad, but rest is awesome.
@Chest3r - How about real gamers and freelance video producers that have to stay on the move? I can't be having a desktop with me all the time right? I do enjoy the gaming and I'd love to render some videos on a laptop, and at this point (taking portability into consideration) only Mac and Razer offer you something like this. Since I wanna game on it, Razer it is. There were some reviews that put Lenovo somewhere up there with the Razer, but I've had some bad experience with their laptops and I'd rather not go for that one. Price is damn high, but considering what you get, I say it's worth it. 1600x900 is unacceptable for me because of work basically, but I do hate to see games at lower resolutions, so yeah. 14'' might be nice, but 17'' is sweet. If it even holds half of promised 6 hours, it's amazing. 3 hours running on batteries? That's enough to play at least 2 matches of whatever you want =)
@Jaerin possibly a bad series, Razer hasn't reported a single product line recall yet, however, when I poked them about a product giving me small issues, even though warranty was out, they still agreed to help and offer me some options. Considering they are fairly new and small company (their margins are, believe it or not, too low) I think that's about alright =)
Uhh-no...you obviously know nothing about Razer as a company. They were founded in 1998 and the latest numbers that I can find in 2008 put their sales at $30 billion, they are not new, nor small....
Razer
They are privately held so they do not publish their financials, but this looks like a leaked internal presentation.
