My opinion as a 6+ years player of WoW (Closed beta ftw!)
Cataclysm is NOT at all what I expected, it was too short, too easy and well, very, VERY badly tuned up before they released it. Over half of my guild (78 people to be correct) got stuck in both MH and Vash while levelling on the exact same quest so EVERYTHING in the zone disappeared, gg not fixing that phasing bug Blizz! Also, items scale so dumb, I mean, why would we need to have over 100k health as a mage? They're just making up numbers now I believe. Sadly, this isn't even remotely as epic as Vanilla, but three times as epic as TBC, two times as epic as WOTLK, but still, not even a 3/5 from me, it's just a 2/5.

above comment = fail, otherwise totally agree with @Thidan, scaling is just ridiculous. in Vanilla, a well geared tank had 10k Hp. in BC, 20k Hp. in WotLK, 55k (WTF?), now, a full greenie mage has 100k hp.
