I think people should just deal with the time skip. I put my self in their shoes and realized how hard it would be to make a Shattering phase 1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,7, and so on until the world is fully changed. Sometimes it's best to let little things like this slide. Just play the game and use your imagination to pretend you witnessed the whole event if it bothers you.
