  • Goodbye, Old World. Hello Timejump?

    Now that the US servers have gone down for maintenance on patch day, we will never see the old world again. EU servers will have an extra day to re-visit old content before the patch 4.0.3a revamp.

    Servers are down until 11:00AM PST today for the US and Oceanic realms. Delays are expected, as patch day is rarely ever on time. We can only hope it won't be delayed until the late hours.
    Developers and CMs have been quiet about how the actual lore transition will work between the current patch 4.0 and patch 4.0.3a. Time lapse speculations range from anywhere as short as a couple of months to several years, extrapolated off of quest text and the aging of several characters in Cataclysm.
    It does seem realistic to add a time lapse to the storyline. It would be a bit overkill if the heroes of Azeroth returned to earthquakes right after the defeat of WotLK's resident "Big Bad", the Lich King.

    It is not currently known whether another event will lead the Shattering, or if we will just transition into the new world without a whole lot of context. Deathwing has to destroy Stormwind somehow, so we can only hope that we'll get to witness the destruction firsthand.

    Deathwing will fly around the zones, toasting random wildlife and unfortunate players as they quest on their new Wildhammer Shaman, Highbourne Magi, or Blood Elf Warrior.

    Here's a question for our readers: What are you looking most forward to in the Shattering?

      I think people should just deal with the time skip. I put my self in their shoes and realized how hard it would be to make a Shattering phase 1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,7, and so on until the world is fully changed. Sometimes it's best to let little things like this slide. Just play the game and use your imagination to pretend you witnessed the whole event if it bothers you.

      I'm looking forward to blood elf warriors :P And as for December 7th, I'm looking forward to goblins. Their mounts AND racials are sick!

      Goblin racials are sick? Rofl. How you dare to say something like that? A imba Rocket Jump, and a imba Rocket Belt, which does like 4k Damage and If I'm not wrong, it stack with spell power.

      And their mounts are cool, I'm still farming for a little car.

      And as for December 7th, I will fast level my Shammy to 85, and then I'm gonna level a Worgen, they are sooo coool!
