Just for the record, you need to correct your information. Patch 4.0.3a has NOT been 'deployed'. As per direct information from Blizzard's own Blue Posts, the current LIVE Patch as of today is 4.0.3.13287...

As per Blizzard, 4.0.3a will be the last patch to go live just before the release of Cataclysm. It is also the patch that will contain all of the changes to initiate the Shattering.

Oh my lord I can't believe it =( It's like... my last ZG run... so much things are getting removed and I can't believe I didn't start farming earlier... gotta make the most outa the last few days :S Once my exams are over, ive got like 6 days left until it releases, i'm going to go into OVERDRIVE and get everything!! Patch 4.0.3a which is the Shattering is due on 7th of Dec 2010. :-)

Blue posts have stated multiple times officially that the new class/race combos and quests will be available before Cataclysm.

[New class/race combos] will be available to everyone shortly before the release of Cataclysm when The Shattering takes place.

However it does seem as though flying in Azeroth will not be available until Cataclysm release, and that it will (speculatively) be restricted only to players who have purchased Cataclysm.

The current PTR build of 4.0.3a does not allow players to purchase a Flight Master's License.

Tuesday - Wednesday are patch days (correct me if I am wrong for US)

After doing this event they will not keep it for a week only, they will probably keep it for 2 weeks.

Also Azeroth changing will probably be much closer to Cataclysm release date than the current dates given.

Its not 30./1., the activation of the latest event phases happens always on Monday evenings (in Eu), hence the Shattering is at 22.11. evening and thus confirming the statement that it then takes two weeks to release. On live 4.0.3 is deployed not 4.0.3a, title is wrong.

your forgetting that the event just has 4 phases the shattering doesnt have to follow this as it isnt an official phase i think its gona be a week before the release else it just seems a waste of money to me to buy the expansion for just the level cap and goblin/worgen

you can only ridew them on the groudn ...you cannot fly them untill cata i beleive
