BLTExtractor with Alpha of Heroes of the Storm runs ok, now i've thousands of files. Is there any way to exctract with original name? and an update to use it in WoD Alpha?

Hey, can any1 tell me how do you make the game work? I dloaded 2GB it from 'kickass' torrent, it has BNTdata, Mods, Support, versions folder, then Heroes of the storm.exe

Do I need to start t he exe file? It wants to install Bnet launcher I think, even though I did it, the game is not listed there, so what should I do to get the game working? I tried StormSwitcher.exe but it tells me ;Files are missing from your Hots installation' Error
Or where to download it from?

We really need someone to step up and upload the updated Heroes of the Storm Alpha clients.
29666 is the latest version, and it appears that old versions are being removed from the Blizzard CDN resulting in them being unable to launch (I've noticed this with 29406 and 29469). 29360 still works, but its so old. Eventually there won't be any working versions for the public. I would do it myself but I have 30kb/s upload, it takes 3 days of non-stop uploading, lol.


Here's BLTE Extractor. TOM_RUS hasn't shared an updated one, so it's not very useful.

What would be really nice is if there was some way to edit the binaries to remove the server check, or return a fake reply, since once it does the check you can play offline without any issues. If it really is just a GET request it shouldn't be too hard to emulate a response.

Ok that reminds me of sc2 in 2010 when some sandboxes were made at least one could do offline, newer versions were later added etc, anyway newer versions is cool but

is there ANY working version for offline play? torrent/links/ step by step how to do?

Can you tell me where you got that new client? Do you use your own made tool or something?

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's just a GET request and should be simple to patch.

Edit 2: Confirmed via editing .build.db in the root directory, all you have to do is change "http://dist.blizzard.com.edgesuite.net/tpr/Hero-Live-a" to "http://127.0.0.1/tpr/Hero-Live-a" and host the files locally, much simpler than I would have expected.

They aren't even released yet. Probably some time on the 15th there will be a huge tech alpha update.

Not going to happen.

A) TOM pulled the tool, so it's here unofficially anyway.
B) It works using 64-bit hashes, so it likely uses other 64-bit-exclusive code to do it. I doubt it would even run successfully as 32-bit without some hacky changes.

It should be released considering we need it for the WOD Alpha too. It's selfish to withhold such an important tool. It'd be as if someone withheld the tool to open MPQs.

WoD Alpha uses CASC v2 and is radically different from Heroes' CASC v1. They're not compatible.
