because I use to play Runescape. there were multiple banwaves and then in 2013, Jagex ban all the accounts logged in on a bot client.

Niantic is not stupid, they would definitely logged all accounts that are using unofficial API's and they can easily track it down and ban it.

But the beauty and fun is not knowing what they actually are going to do. Before speculating, stereotyping or giving reality to a mere thought of what Niantic has in store for us. Why not sit back and see what happens rather than pull old skeletons out of the closet...thinking or hoping they are remotely similar. Which really you could have said any other games that have banned people and still made your same point. Which only tells me one thing...we don't know what will happen so wait and see instead of creating something out of nothing.

Nope, I know plenty of people who don't have every account banned. Until that happens, don't say with absolutely certainty that ALL botted accounts will be banned. Just wait and see, if it happens it happens, but not before. Do not stress and do not make up the future, time will happen on its own accord.

i really don't get why the ALARM because of the ban wave,

if you read any post in this forum there is always someone warning ppl that NO BOT is 100% safe.
also ppl warning that soon or later YOU WILL BE BANNED,
you don't just download a cheat and run it without knowing it.. thats stupid.
you don't cheat in your main account if you don't want to lose it. (only if you don't care).
you don't snipe if you care about your account, niantic released the info where we found a pokemon but i'm sure they knew it long time ago.
you shouldn't set a bot in other country without a proxy at least
ppl have been warning us about the outdated API so it doesn't matter what config you were using.


i think the MODs could unify these threads like

The 4th ban wave is here, lost anything? what you did?what version you were using?proxy?
it would prevent the flood of ban wave topics and it also could concentrate some useful info about the bans and what bots may have been detected.
this way we could create some statistics about what niantic is looking for.
also mantain ppl informed about random bans out of banwaves

Actually right now with Niantic already forcing all players to update to v0.39 in order to play the game, no bot is safe since ALL bots are still running on v0.35. As far as I know, nobody has managed to crack v0.37, so I don't think anyone will be able to crack v0.39 anytime soon and by the time they do, the game will probably be on 0.4+ already. So end of the day, just continue to bot if you want, but do so knowing that your account is going to be banned in due time. Those on android 6.0 could probably try Fly GPS to spoof your locations but since you are basically enabling mock locations, niantic will also know you are spoofing your locations. Also a matter of time before they decide to ban these accounts too.
