Are they really PermaBanning GPS spoofers that do it right? I think not...

All but one of my many Bot accounts has been PermaBanned (Fail to get data from server popup/unable to edit info on PTC site). So for now I'm focusing on my two organic accounts and one account started with a bot and turned organic.

I have been spoofing central park for weeks with the aforementioned three accounts (the corner by 5th and 66th has 20+ lured pokestops 24/7). I was soft banned once because I flew from NYC to San Francisco for work (real life), when I landed I was playing from the back of the car service ride. I had to spin a pokestop 40 times to start catching again. But after that, I started to figure out how to avoid soft bans and am still going strong on all 3 accounts.

As far as I can tell, Niantic is still only using soft-bans that go away if you are GPS spoofing and moving over 55MPH or transporting/jumping continents. The ones they are really after are those of us who run Bots. All but one of my bot accounts has been PermaBanned. The only one I have left that works was started as a level 25 and I purchased $9 in items from the store with it. I had a few level 30-33 accounts PermaBanned and my two recent level 25 bot accounts only lasted the weekend! So I'm down to three accounts, all up and running for 1-2 months...

So, since all but 3 of my accounts have been banned, when I look at the ones that are left (currently levels 21,26,27) I can only see a few similarities that might have kept them from being banned.

1-the level 27 is my original account started by actually walking about NYC, NJ, Philly for a month, then started GPS spoofing in central park. so the account is 2 months old. The second account was started by a Bot at level 25, but have used a mix of real life walking and GPS spoofing in my general vicinity to my house (NY/NJ/PA) again, over a month period of time. The third account was meant as a test account, started and continued via GPS spoofing...it is completely cool (level 21), I can even alter my user information on PTC site.

2-all 3 accounts have purchased items from the store for real money.

3-only moderate gym takeovers (I limit my gang-up on gyms to late nights and not very often, mostly use all 3 as separate accounts)

4-pokemon owned are congruent to level and mileage on my walking medals and age of each account from 1.5-2.5 months (ie no multiple rare 'mons like a dozen maxed Snorlax)

5-I give them down time, alternate them, and usually only plunk-about at a walking or running pace (hardly ever get the "you are going to fast" warning)

6- My house is in NJ and I work in NYC, so my pattern is pretty much the same (I open account #1 in the morning when I wake up under the normal game app, then let it run while I'm driving into NYC, turning it off now and then. Once in the city I switch account #1 to GPS Spoof app, and open account #2 in the legit app. The lower account is more for testing the GPS Spoof limits and I don't include it in my everyday routine (working on the 2 main accounts and hoping I can get some Bot accounts back up and running without getting banned)

7-(most important???) - all three accounts have only spoofed via iPhone. The second account was started via Bot, but thereafter only used in real play or GPS spoof on a phone


I think it will be a while before they begin hardcore targeting GPS spoofers as long as we stick around where you live or in one place, and give it a day in between switching to a new location like Tokyo or London. Though it is increasingly tempting for me as I am now pushing close to level 28 and 27 on my two main accounts, and they both pretty much only need 8-10 more pokemon to finish my pokedex's.

I hope they release trading before permabanning moderate GPS spoofing! Until then I will continue with my routine on the 3 main accounts, and keep trying new Bot accounts when possible!

my level 24 account was also spoofed for 2 weeks and didnt get a ban, hope i wont, but i stopped spoofing, i have 132 in pokedex, only one arcanine over 2k, not even single dragonite, had 1k dragonite and transferred it

are you on iphone? if not then what connection did you use? wifi or your mobile data? and what gps spoofing software did you use? really appreciate the help if u can tell us

Nothing you do will matter if they implement the same detection as ingress has... Using common Pokemon go spoofing methods in ingress gets you an automated ban in a few hours time.

If they want to ban you they likely will.

The difference between Ingress and Pokèmon Go is the sheer user volume. I have been playing Ingress for a while, even created a portal in my front yard that is now a pokestop. But going from auto-banning a few hundred thousand Ingress users and millions of PG users, is an entirely different ballpark. If they implemented the spoofing bans in PG tantamount to Ingress, the Internet would crash and the headlines would read "millions of accounts baned", then stocks would be in the toilet. Comparing the two games is an act of lunacy! No offense...

I am on iPhone, not jailbroken. I am grandfathered in to a true unlimited data plan, so with LTE I never enable wifi. Most all of my accounts have been connecting via cellular data (with one exception, the test account I use PG++ on my ipad on wifi). Because my iPhone is new and not jailbroken I've been using Pokèmon Go++ hacked IPA version (use Impactor to install via Mac/PC).

Scott they just started banning GPS spoofing. Not hardcore just occasional. Check the forum and you will see that since the new update (0.35.0) spoofers get a green retry button (cannot login). I'm assuming that my account was flagged but check my other post about when I went back to the 0.33.0 and the game crashed.

Then when I relaunched the game and logged in with 0.33.0 I got the purple retry button. Now went back to 0.35.0 and get unable to authenticate. Not botting here just using Nox in the same state maybe an hour or two away from my actual location. Walked using WASD feature in Nox.

I use nox on my PC. I followed the same Nox setup guide on this forum. I use a ptc account. I don't have pogobag or anything.

I was originally using the Japanese iPhone app from iEnchantify (non-jailbreak hack). it stopped being signed and that's when I found Pokémon Go++. The interface is much smoother and it doesn't allow jumping, but you can set a destination on map and walk x1 speed and hatch eggs. Also it has a nice Pokémon-find when you are within a few blocks of one, you click which one you want to find and it walks you there.

Does anyone else use PG++? I switch out of it and am not banned. I'm trying to push to level 30 then I'm done with spoofing my main accounts (since all my level 29+ bot accounts have been permabanned).

Could it be that I have only used pokemon Go hacked spoofing apps installed on my iPhone? I can't figure out why this is the only app that hasn't gotten my accounts banned (yet)...

Question, does the update from a few days ago mess with device hack apps? Any word on guestimates when the next ban-wave might be?
