I personally only save 85%+. Once I got enough Snorlax+Dragonites in that range, I changed sniper to 95%+ only.
Hardly catch anything with 95+, but I dont need anything else anyways.

Don't really see a point in leveling up something else.

First of all you asked your question wrong. IVs aren't needed. You mean to say what IV range is preferred to be competitive in battling.Second ?dont listen to the these people who say "zomg 100% Nub or trash". Although IVs give a pretty good boost to Pokemon strength at HIGHER levels and cp range, move set is more important.A 85-90% IV Pokemon with an optimum move set is > 100% Pokemon with shit move set. 100 iv Pokemon are a lot less common than 85 to 99%...therefore it's a lot less efficient to farm 100% with the right moves. In conclusion and imo 85 to 95% is good.

You can keep whatever pokemon you want. IVs is for some people who like having the best of the best where only 100% is the best etc. But the biggest difference in cp on etc. a Dragonite is 450 cp from really low IV% to 100%.

Your Dragonite would max out at 3500 CP which is the max for a Dragonite.
