Right now, but Blizzard has had a decade to build their company. Also Niantic has a huge player number advantage, on the order of magnitude difference likely.

As for trading, what if they require nearby player (bluetooth?) interaction to perform it? Wouldn't bot-farmers be out of luck trading for profit?
