Just reached level 40, What now?

I'm level 34, which is way higher than I wanted. I'm trying to farm Lapras, Dratini and all the other S Tiers but it takes so long that I get xp along the way...

Also, I'm sure the guy that reached level 40 first didn't get banned.

Noone is banned yet because they didn't start banning.

When they do, that guy will be banned, and so would the next level 35 - 40 guys be.

30-35 ... maybe, but probably.

The "reasonably safe" level , level wise, is likely around 20 to 25 since that's about as high as non-bot players can get to at this time.

That's only if Niantic is only looking at players' levels.

If they look at other factors like the coordinates log, pokedex, pokemons caught, times accessed API, which device you had your activities on, etc... then no level is "safe".

i would say 36 or higher for them to flag u are a botter , yet they will have to investigate.

there are a legit people who actually reach 35 almost 36.

I don't think level 27 is cheating by now if you spent the $$$$. As far as people using Pokevision/etc do you know how many daily visits they had when they launched? Niantic isn't banning players for using third party tools to track Pokemon.

Reckful got 29 in like a week after release, so lots of legit players that played alot like him can be up to 35.
