When are we gettin banned?

Anyone have any ideas on when botters will get banned?

I just dont see this lasting very long before they start looking at backlogs and banning us.

Starting mass permabans so early in the game's life would be a bad business/PR move so they're probably waiting until the game has matured a bit more before they do something as drastic. I think they will try to implement anti botting strategies quietly before anything else and pretend botting never happened.

Mass banning comes as a last resort and only when the game proves to be stable and profitable.

This is an extremely bad idea, anyone playing while being a passenger in car going over that speed would get banned, anyone riding a bike faster than that would get banned.

With their previous experience with Ingress I'd say they have a better strategy up their sleeves, if they can put the anti botting/anti cheating mechanism that Ingress used in Go, that would be a far better approach.

Mass banning will almost always result in many legit users also getting banned which is why I think it won't happen. I'm sure they are aware of the botting so anti cheating strategies are probably in the works. I'd do whatever you need to do before they fix it. But then again, they may just trivialize what the bots have given us already so botting may have been pointless.

That's the logical approach.
