Mila, one of the first people who released an API received a Cease and Desist e-mail from The Pokemon Company International, Co regarding his API on github.

The question still remains how big of an effect this will have on the current botting situation.

At least it shows that they are definitely trying to actively step up against botting

doubt that is even legit, C&D don't come to you, especially on github. They'll go to github, its doable, I've seen it done before. Then Github informs you hey we shut this down cause of this and that.
