Buying an account that's been botted - will it get banned later?

Hey guys, I bought an account that has been botted. I plan on playing it regular now with friends. Will it get banned eventually or should I be safe?

I doubt anyone around here knows if we are going to get banned or not, time will tell, just one thing, don't play on botted account unless you're ready to lose it, have that in mind.

if you're buying a botted account to play around for a few weeks then its no big deal. but you shouldnt expect even a 5% chance that it wont get banned.

Well, they boosted your account with a bot.. so it's the same situation as botters, lol.

when theres bot activity it will be flagged. bots currently are really easy to detect. you may not even be softbanned but thinking they dont know is just being naive.

The heartbeat packets being sent is probably how they're logging bots. I think it's a matter of responding to the server with the correct packets rather than the actual activity on the account. Also the fact that every bot sends actions directly through the API rather than through the game.

The game sends through the same RPC calls that the API does. We have no idea if they are flagging or banning accounts yet, but we can be sure it will come and all these accounts will VERY likely be banned.

How do you know pokemon go's servers is large enough to log and store activity on 100 million+ accounts.

if they did, they wouldnt have updated api like how they did, they woulda banned everyone

Made the account on 28/7, reached level 25 in 1 day. Spun 4000 pokestops, caught 2000 pokemon, gets 60k exp an hour. Lol how ridiculously easy is it to spot someone whos botting?

i agree fully with what you said. i find the blind optimism here quite amusing. these guys have been notoriously good at banning cheaters and bots in ingress, and they dont even care about false positives. and how blatant the current bots are currently, its ridiculously easy to ban. and they dont really need to store a ton of data, they just need to take note how often or blatant an account has been flagged.

that's why im not bottin my main account, altho I do snipe on it. I dont really give a shit if I get banned, I would like not to, but if I do ill probs just quit. games not really fun if you ask me, id rather be looking around when im outside, not at my phone.

but i think if im just sniping it may fly under the radar
