How do you know if you're banned?

Woke up, can't login to my account.

Is there a ban message? Or are the servers absolute trash?

I can get online with my main tho.... so can't be servers right?

I still haven't heard of a single perma ban, so the only thing is soft ban that makes you unable to catch pokemons (they instantly run away) and take items from pokestops, lasts 30min-10hrs depending on how long spoof was. There are methods to remove softbans though.

Also nobody has reported a permaban yet. The only "ban" at the moment is a soft ban which really is just a timeout. My guess is that Niantic is building up a large list to mass perma ban. Several days ago people noticed encrypted packets starting to be sent to the client which was guessed to be a heartbeat packet for anti-cheat logging.

I was just able to get in now... but I think I might be "soft banned"

Just tried a different bot with the soft-ban function and it says I am soft-banned and it unbanned myself LOL
