Is this "game" basically DEAD soon?

With each passing day, there are more and more botters. Botting has made this game essentially pointless to even open up. Ever since I started botting, I haven't even bothered to open the game up since the bots print out logs/CSV files of your pokemon/inventory.

As much as I love botting, I think if Niantic doesn't do something about botting soon, very few people will "play" the game in the way that it was meant to be played (walking around... and stuff). Opinions? Anyone else completely bored by this game after botting?

this is why i refuse to bot pokemon.

running PQR in wow almost killed my enjoyment of wow (and almost got my account banned.), and i wont do that to myself with PGO. i also wont pay them for anything either though. theres really no need.... the game throws items at you hand over fist as long as you actuailly go out and do things. i've had to start pitching low level potions and revives because of backpack space.

If they don't outright ban everyone using bots and GPS spoofing the game is essentially dead.

Right now it is simple to go from 1-30 with 145/145 and a stack of rare pokemon in like 2 days tops...

Gyms will be stocked full of 2.5k+ snorlaxes, chanseys, and every other defensive pokemon before long. This is even before someone decides to release a gym bot that gets widely used. The capabilities are already there people have just been pretending like there is some kind of grey moral line they can't cross. The fact is someone will cross it and it will all come crashing down. Probably one or two more days.

But yes as of right now the game is essentially totally SHREKT and if they don't ban it will just get worse over time.

Agree to disagree, I don't mind boting, doesn't kill the enjoyment the game for me at least, I used bot on 90%+ of the games that I played and I would still be playing some of them if my dedicated gpu haven't died, anyway, I do believe a ban wave is coming soon and most of the gps spoofers and bot users will be baned but like with most games some people will still be able to freely bot anyways using some personal techniques and routes and this kind of stuff. And like all my other games, couldn't care less if people are using bots or not, truly don't give a shit. I'm still going to have a primary account with no boting or spoofing on it for security reasons but if possible I'll farm some pokemons with bots and trade later on when the trade system comes online.
After all not all of us live in a big city with a ton of pokemons and pokestops, the city where is located my college there is like 3 pokestops and the city is HUGE, with almost 300k people living on it.
So yeah on my main account I'll probably run on problems like no pokeballs and everything so I'll just use the bot to complement this situation.

I just use it to get the rares that I would never have a chance to find in town and farm stops so I don't have to spend hours to get pokeballs.

Before I casually read about bots, I was not interested in playing this game for three reasons:
1. the game mechanics are too simple, you cannot even fight with wild pkm, fight/trade with other people, you just have to catch the same pokemon again and again to evolve, this is just pointless
2. in my little city it would take a month just to reach level 10, my neighbour told me that when he open the game he can not see any pokestops, there is only a gym with 300-400CP pkm inside. To catch a pkm (pidgey, zubat, caterpie) you have to walk for 1-2km
3. due to my attendance at university i have little free time, so it will take months to grow in the game

After I heard about these bots, I was curious with the thing you can move to different big cities around the world, so i decide to give it a try

When i will get perma ban i will just uninstall nox and delete bot folder

people like you have ruined it for yourselves. currently the only pvp or online enjoyment to it, is the overtaking of gyms, there will be changes and additions. making online play easier. seeing others online as well. so you can report the idiot botters who ruined there game for themselves and are bitching about it. you chose to do it. i play the game regularly. i have lots of rares pokemon and it encouraged me to exercise more. sure its sad. but atleast im not sitting here bitching about how i ruined my phone game app by cheating.

Even if 100,000 people are botting right now its a very small percentage of the people playing pokemon go and they will still enjoy the game and can enjoy the game

People who make a Business out of Botting destroy the Games, not the 2% of the Players that actually Bot for Fun.

Of the millions of accounts only a small percentage of them are bots say 1% and most of them are going to get banned and even if they dont get all of them its such a small fraction of the PGO community to really have an effect. I live in a decent size city in Cali and have only run across 1 maybe 2 people that were over lv 30
