GPS Joystick (No Root Needed Only Marshmallow)
Try using GPS joystick available in playstore,
enable developer options and set mock app to GPS joystick,
there is also a link inside GPS joystick app where it teaches you.
Walk freely using a joystick,
(you can edit 3 speed settings)
auto walk (straight)
change position of joystick.
*been using it for a week now.

Try using it with the new updated 0.37 client it won't work. You need Xposed framework Mock Mock Locations.
I haven't played with magisk and other stuff yet as I am not forced to update but I doubt it works.

Master Sergeant
"set mock app to GPS joystick"
Does this mean the app auto-mocks mock location? Meaning you don't have to turn mock locations on? Because as far as i know, the only way to mock mock location is with module (root)
I'll be waiting on reports from this app as i don't feel safe gps spoofing without root...

A couple things. First of all when you go to set this as your Mock Location App, after choosing it. It displays the title Fly GPS. I'm no expert but I'm guessing this is a reskinned version of Fly GPS with more obnoxious adds. That said, the new skin is much more user friendly. The user options are all right there on the Joystick and this also lets you automatically walk to whatever location you want to be at. To be fair, Fly GPS may have let you do this as well but I wouldn't know because it wasn't designed in English. This is totally worth having to close an add before you start.

Fly GPS needs high accuracy, under 'location' in settings

GPS Joystick will only work without root on android 6 and up, because in this version you can choose the app to mock your location.
On android 5 will cannot choose an app, just enable mock location which will cause pokemon go give you the "failed to detect location" error.
If you want to use it on android 5 will need root and make GPS Joystick a system app (you can use lucky patcher for that)

Isnt this easily detectable since it does not spoof altitude? I only know of a handful of apps that let you add in the altitude, although you have to use Google Altitude map to find the altitude for each location you choose, i would this this is the only "safe" option is to use one that allows you to input a altitude..
