Let's say 1 million people pay a monthly subscription at 5 bucks that's 5 million dollars plus whatever micro transaction they do. It might be valuable for them.

How is World of Warcraft a example.... There isn't even a small comparison between Pokemon and WoW... And you pay a monthly subscription on WoW to play the game in general not to work your way around their ToS... The only way i see you getting your wish is if "Private Servers" on Pokemon Go become a "Thing".. (No idea when or if they're a thing but just saying..)
P.S - Much respect to your cousin for his sacrifice man.

Cmon guys its not a stupid a post. Its clear the author did not expressed his idea in the best way, but i understand what his point is.
We should have an option to play this game without having to physically "explore" your city.
I get it. The whole augmented reality thing marketed everywhere before launch really got into peoples mind. "Wow! I found a Pikachu in my closet! Cool!" Lets be honest. That first impression fades in a week. After that the urge to keep playing simply vanishes. You dont feel rewarded for your hard work. To me it feels like im always catching the same pokemon over and over. No progression. Bots are not the culprit here. They are just the consequence to this lack of progression and enjoyment. Maybe niantic made the game this way on purpose to milk more money.. I dont know.

i think dir pad for movement should be an accessibility option, nia never allow snipes, bots but letting kids too weak or in pain to walk 100s of kilometers chance to be pokemon trainers? just the classy move imo. make mv speed slow or median human speed, everything else manual, maybe additional option for ball throws, like double tap pitches, and succeed/fail simply on RNG, ring color/cp, ball, fruit, etc.for impaired hand mobility. and obviously free. that way, you want to "cheat" option available, might not be walking but still putting face time in front of app

So let's try to bring up the IQ score here a bit
Niantic isn't going to create a PC version. Most PC's don't even have GPS' in them still. The ones that do are mainly tablet based like iPad's and Surface Pro's.
They'll also never condone cheating. That just defeats the purpose and there's no money to be made, whether its pay to download and play or not.
A single player mode
This would make more sense as a stand alone game. Something like the original game boy games but with real maps from around the world. Server connections only for checking for updates and account sign up for saving. Setup like a gameboy game, play it maybe in landscape mode and you start where you live, but from there, you get control and walk around like the original games.
That doesn't seem too far from impossible, but again, would probably never happen. I feel dumb for even explaining a way to do it
I like the single player mode idea. Every time when I go play Pokemon go outside, I have to waste gas money, phone battery, get tons of neck pain, sun burn, and buy food and drinks. Pokemon go is like a play 2 win type of game to me.

what blew my mind is 0 scale of reward as you level and captures become more difficult. why am i gonna sit there and waste my time messing with 800cp raticate thats being a little aggro prick to get the same 100xp and 100 dust when can flee, find another close by thats less than 100 cp, snatch with single base ball for same reward. i think xp should = cp of mon and dust = cp÷2

There's no difference in making a offline pokemon game and a "gps spoof" official version other than you having gyms which real people challenge each others pokemon (without even having the chance to actually defend it, leaving that to stupid AI). I mean come on, man.
Gyms are just spam fest anyway. The system is broke from the start. Once people get tired of collecting pokemon this game is gonna end basically.
It has so much potential beying thrown away. Think Gyms could be challenge-based like original pokemon games. People send you a challenge and everyone has to go physically to that gym or else they'll be punished in-game. Gym defenders and attackers. You could set a crew and start dominating gyms. Then people challenge you and your friends/crew and set up the date and time. Everyone goes there (losing in-game xp or items if they don't) and the duel starts. This could lead to people making pokemon parties and stuff. This could lead to people really taking this shit seriously, like "OMAGAD Kyle's crew just challenged David's on Wooden Street Gym at 7pm! Let's go there, it's gonna be sick!"
But no let's just gonna put some pve-based shit system where people can't hold their gyms for more than 30 minutes and taking a gym is just a matter of persistence.

I like your way of thinking. It would be awesome to battle like that, although we could have problems with criminals.

Thanks man.
When PoGo first announced gyms that was the first thing I thought it would be. So disappointed by this PVE thing.
Well, criminals have been causing trouble using PoGo one way or the other... But gyms are located in crowded places, unlike some pokestops that criminals have been using to steal people. Just don't set the challenge time like 5am and people should be fine. Also you'll be knowing the challengers before accepting the challenge, so you could easily dismiss trolls or low lvl accounts used by thiefs.
But Niantic just wants quick buck.

Do you really think they would do it on a game completly based on "irl" walks ?
God...
