I remember reading this one forum post by a guy who managed to get himself unbanned for botting/sniping. He told Niantic he went on a trip to San Diego or something which successfully managed to get his account unbanned. I don't remember which site I found it on, but I'm sure if you google it you can find it.

I cant help but think "why bother?" You know you cheated/botted and that its against the TOS. If you spent money on a botted acct then thats your fault. Accept your loss and move on.

completely agree, to add to this thread tho.. saw an image recently of someone that said they got a response and it was pretty savage. Niantic responded with something along the lines of Trainer, Upon further review of your account we have confirmed the violation of the terms of usage, terms of service and trainer guidelines. Your account has been terminated.
