If you think about it, how long is Niantic actually figuring this game will be popular for? At level 24(my highest account) you have to gain 150,000 XP to continue to the next level. At this point in the game you've likely caught more than half the Pokemon in the game. Without lucky eggs this is how it runs down:

30,000 Pokestops
1500 Pokemon

This is just one level. Actually walking around to catch that number of Pokemon or spin that many Pokestops is absolutely absurd. I don't know how many of you have actually tried to play the game the way Niantic wants us to play it, but Pokemon don't really spawn all that often where I live. I've walked a half mile or more without a single Pokemon appearing on my screen. So from level 1 up to 100 where the current level cap is, it would take a person playing the game correctly YEARS to even come close to reaching that maximum level.

When I saw how long it would take a person to get to 35 nevermind 40 I didn't really care about playing legit anymore, that is ridiculous. The only reason to make those levels so impossible to reach is if they had plans to add more pokemon and features in the future that related to being that high to make being 40 worth getting to but it's clear they don't

Niantic wants to create a time sink where you'll be playing for years and spending real money and never hit "the end" or have max level pokemon, forget that nonsense. I suspect we're all here because we feel the same way and that is that they can eat a dick

My thoughts exactly...no one will keep their attention on this game for longer than 6 months and that is a guarantee. The only interaction you have with other people in the game is at the gyms and even that is pretty boring. I played on my main account legit from 1 up to level 15 and it took me a few weeks. Granted I didn't play very serious it still took a long time and that is the easiest time to level up.

gotta agree on this post. Since i've found out about botting, i've also found out that leveling on this game isn't an easy task to do. it's just a pain in the ass if you play legit as possible. What i may want to see on this game should be a better UI cuz this green map is crap as hell. and other better feature just like what we see on pokemon games. so far by now, fetaures on pokemon go aren't that many. i give niantic 4 months.

Dont u think botting is fun if we make money out of it. Just imagine when you stop by internet cafe in the morning, no one is there and the whole comps are used for botting until u decide to use one of the comps lol.

No one is "crying", simply pointing out facts. It would literally take years to get to level 50 playing this game like they say it's meant to be played, let alone level 100. And that's probably the amount of time it would take someone to get that far in the game that doesn't go to school or have a job and playing 10+ hours every single day. Just think about it. The expectations that Niantic have as far as progressing in this game are completely ridiculous.

You are in fact crying. When did Niantic say that you should be level 40 in the first month of the game being released?

The "maximum level" is not supposed to be easily accomplished by anyone and everyone in the first month of the game being released.

Get a clue. Also pokemon cap CP @ level 30 so you are not getting any benefit to level after 30 as far as pokemon are concerned.

Using bot is consider cheating. Think about those people play legit and one day you beat them up in the gym. That really ruin people's game..

Stopping playing before getting to the end level is probably what most people will do. Stopping playing should the max have been 30, is what most people will do. People are not going to stop playing because maxlevel is hard to achive, people are going to stop playing because they have spent enough time / don't have any more Pokemon to catch. Botters who are attempting to play, and bot will quit first... Got maxlevel... got all Pokemon you want... What have you still got to play for?

For the most part, this is a casual game. Going to visit your aunt down south? Have a go on Pokemon Go! On holiday on the beach with your family? Play Pokemon Go! This is where the longevity is.
