About IV, CP and Gym Battle

I have about 5 Pokemon with 100 IV
    1. Dragonair 1448 CP
    2. Jolteon 1589 CP
    3. Vaporeon 2534 CP
    4. Gyarados 2535 CP and...
    5. Jynx 76 CP

    Below is 2000 CP
    1. Snorlax 2701 CP 97 IV
    2. Gyarados 2535 CP 100 IV
    3. Vaporeon 2534 CP 100 IV
    4. Exeggutor 2522 CP 62 IV
    5. Flareon 2278 CP 98 IV
    6. Magmar 2020 CP 94 IV

    My questions is...
    1. In Gym Battle, what Pokemon I have choose to fight?
    2. What do you prefer? IV or CP?
    3. Does Pokemon move affect in Gym Battle?
    4. Gyarados 100 IV when in a Gym, not show Perfect strike! just not effective strike. Why? I would like use Snorlax.

Can somebody explain me about this?

    1) Depends on the Pokemon in the gym. Go by strength and weaknesses (and CP of course). For example, if the Pokemon in the gym is Electric, you don't want to use Water or Flying. You want to use Ground.
    2) Well, IV wins in the long run but if it's low CP you will need a lot of stardust.
    3) If you mean if it recognises types and weaknesses/strengths, then yes, as explained in 1).
    4) If your Snorlax has Earthquake as its special move then that would explain why - Ground is weak against Water.

Try googling for "Pokemon Go type strengths and weaknesses".

Also there's a great website that has all the best move sets listed etc, just google for Pokemon Gameinfo.

1 use dragonite all the time except when u facing lapras....
    kill lapras using snorlax
    kill dragonite using lapras...

in your pokemon list use snorlax and 6 highest cp u got

2 skill set is all matter
    3 look 2
4 i dont understand what u mean..in my experience in gym battle only 3 pokemon relevant..others not > Lapras very op,Dragonite for atking and snorlax (maybe high cp exeggutor and arcanine can be relevant too depend on the skill set)

    Thanks for Reply,
My pokemon Snorlax spesial move is Hyper Beam, sometimes in the Gym, Snorlax can take down 2 Pokemon before it kicked out. I see another Snorlax have Earthquake has more create damage rather than Hyper Beam. But My Snorlax better than Gyarados.

I have one question more, My Gyarados and Pinsir can not be upgrade. It say something related about level trainer, even I have 53 candy. Should I have assign Gyarados to the Gym, fight with another team or with teammates?

I have Lapras 97 IV 1441 CP and Dragonite 97 IV 680 CP. Should I level up both this Pokemon or snipe more?
