To avoid/circumvent the IP ban

You only have to use proxies, if you run more than 1 bot per IP, or if you got IP banned previously from running outdated Haxton, etc.

Really, no one is forcing you to use a proxy. It's mostly people that try to push their XP/h to the limit, or who want to multi bot, who are looking at using proxies.
