When Boosting your team's gym. (Valor boosting valor gyms)

If you have a 10 CP dragonite, and there's a 20 CP pidgey in the gym. If you beat the 20 CP pidgey with a 10 CP dragonite, because you have half the cp of the pidgey, you get 1k prestige. Normally, you can only boost your own gym 100 prestige at a time. Now you get 1000 prestige.

Cheers to those who were boosting their gym at 10x slower than optimal.

Whenever you fight the first gym's pokemon with a lower CP pokemon than the first gym's pokemon, you get at least 500 prestige. The lower your CP is in comparison with the first gym's pokemon will determine how much more prestige you get.

what if i put 40CP Magikarp on gym and beat The Magikarp with Pidgey 20CP? Is the Gym get 1000 prestige point?

u will get 1000 prestige with any pokemon if u attack the gym with half of their cp

Prestige earned = 500 * (Defender CP / Attacker CP) if your CP is lower
250 * (Defender CP / Attacker CP) if your cp is higher

I thought for sure this thread would be about a specific bug with 10 CP Dragonite's that made them invuln to attacks... or something...
